I would not want to be the lawyer responding to those 15-day letters. The FDA is often full of hot air, but the Ebola prevention claims are exactly the kind of thing that the law prohibits. It reminds me of the Forsythia rush in the movie Contagion.

Terrifying to think how many people are "treating" the above with these essential oils (which probably are not even real great quality essential oils.....). Snake oil for the 21st century.

People keep pushing doterra on me to help my kids sleep. I'm not putting this stuff on my 7 month old's body, or pumping it into the air she breathes, based on recommendations of anyone who is not a doctor.

@Arden: yes. EOs are fantastic for all those things. May I also recommend putting a drop in the toilet and flushing after your husband uses the bathroom? (If your house is anything like mine, anyway...)

I didn't know people took them so seriously. Crazy.
