    @Lady Hibiscus: "Peeing on anything that changes color"-HA!! I hear you! I didn't allow myself to buy Wondfos, as I knew I'd be peeing on them 24/7 starting, oh, 2 DPO. I only bought the "expensive" FRERs/CB Digitals so I can only use them if I "really" need them. Ha. I know that my temp should give me some indication. I'm trying to save myself from too much disappointment. GAH, I just want to KNOW already if "it" happened!

    I'm feeling a little bummed and just needed to come vent to like-minded ladies I had consistent mild cramps starting at O through yesterday (6 dpo). I had fairly bad cramps for a little bit yesterday (no idea why, but they only lasted for about half an hour or so. I don't generally cramp this far away from AF), and now the cramps have essentially gone away today (7 dpo).

    I know, know, know it would be too early to really have pregnancy symptoms yet anyway, but I have this sinking feeling that I am out. It's our first cycle trying, so I shouldn't even be upset, but of course I thought I would be one of the fortunate few that got lucky on the first go Anyway, sorry to be a bummer. I'm just feeling a little blue. And due to yesterday's bad cramps, now I'm nervous that AF is going to come way early. Sigh. I hate the TWW!!!

    @hellobeeboston: how was that bfp two years ago already?!?!?!?! good luck TTC! we aren't there yet but hopefully we can be preggs partially together too!

    @mrsjyw: OMG I know?! I cannot believe that was 2 years ago!!! It's funny me and DH are having so many talks to "gear up" for TTC #2!!! We are both not ready and ready at the same time! It took us 7-8 months last time so we will see how long it takes this time!

    Are we abandoning the other POAS thread now?
    I didn't test today, but my acupuncturist told me this morning that AF is imminent. Still no spotting or anything, but I feel a wee bit crampy and SO tired. But as DH reminded me last night over dinner, "You're not out until your period shows up." It was hilarious hearing that from him!

    @HolisticMama: He is right! And wow how does your acu. know your AF is coming?!

    @HolisticMama: What other POAS thread??

  17. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    Question:

    How early do you all start POAS?

    I had always waited until AF was late, but this month, I want to start now (at 6DPO, lol)

  18. Marfi

    clementine / 794 posts

    @Crystal: Usually I wait until closer to when AF is supposed to be here because I have been using FRER, but I finally ordered wondfos from amazon today, so I will probably start testing at 7 or 8 (once they get here)!

  19. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

    @snowjewelz: She said it was because all my pulses were jittery. We'll see. No spotting yet. Mild cramping.

  20. wonderstruck

    pomegranate / 3791 posts

    @ChiCalGoBee: That was theory too - oh, I'll buy the expensive ones since I'd be taking the Wondfos every day. Uh, I caved and took one this morning knowing there was practically no chance it would pick up a pregnancy this early (and it didn't.) Oops.

    I just found out yesterday that a cousin of mine who is pregnant found out at her first doctor's appointment yesterday that she lost the baby =( Feeling sad for her today. Honestly, it wasn't a good situation to be bringing a baby into and I thought it was crazy when she told me she and her boyfriend were TTC, but nevertheless an awful thing to go through. If I do find out I'm pregnant I'll be waiting a while to tell family since it will still all be very fresh and raw for her.

    @mfa_lady: mine too! You@'re welcome!

  22. HolisticMama

    persimmon / 1167 posts

    @theotherstark: I don't really think it's too early to feel symptoms. You could implant on 6dpo and get some pretty intense cramping. I'm also of the camp that believes in early pregnancy factor. http://www.ehd.org/dev_article_unit1.php
    I've heard the cycle 1 is one of the most difficult because you don't know what is going on. I literally felt crazy last month. Literally.

    @Crystal: I started 8dpo this cycle, which was silly, because if I had my way- I would be implanting that day (based on some study I read somewhere).

    @wonderstruck: T&P for your cousin.

  23. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    @wonderstruck: T&P for you cousin. That really sucks.

    @HolisticMama: I keep getting worried that if I am "doomed" since I don't have any "real" pregnancy symptoms. then I realized I haven't even implanted yet, so there isn't any way I would be.

    It really does take another week for that to happen, which seems crazy since its such a short distance.

  24. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

    In my head I know it's WAY too early to test (6DPO), but in my EVERYTHING ELSE I'm dying to test!! I keep thinking "no way it could be positive now, don't set yourself up for disappointment..." I also typically spot for a day before AF comes, and that's supposed to happen on Saturday so that's not too far from now. Right?

    "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."

  25. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

    @wonderstruck: sorry for your cousin:-(. I cannot imagine how hard an appointment like that is.

    I would prefer to wait for a heartbeat before anyone but hubby knows, but that might be hard in my family. We don't live close together, but see each other often enough that someone would know if something was up.

  26. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

    @Crystal: I could have written that exactly. My temp is still up, but I'm symptom free today and "woah is me"....but realize I probably haven't implanted, either. Excuse me while I send (cheesy) words of encouragement to the ute...

  27. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @Crystal: I got my BFP last time when I was 8 or 9 dpo. I will probably test at 9 dpo. I hate wondering what if I could find out right now.

    I don't think I have ovulated yet this month... these longer cycles are frustrating me.

  28. HolisticMama

    I dislike limbo land. I almost always have 28 day cycles. I hate limbo land a lot more than the 2WW.

  29. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    @Radish: remind me, are you temping?

    @ChiCalGoBee: I'm telling myself the same thing!

    It's making me crazy to equally symptom spot while also questioning every little thing I'm feeling.

    @HolisticMama: limbo land sucks. Still no results on the HPT?

  30. Aria

    persimmon / 1121 posts

    @HolisticMama: Being in limbo is so hard. I didn't get a period last month at all, so I totally get it. Hang in there!

  31. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    For those that test early and often, are you ever worried about getting a chemical?

    I really want to start testing, but I'm nervous about that....

  32. buttermilk

    nectarine / 2086 posts

    @Crystal: I've been peeing on sticks for six months now and I've never ever seen an evap or chemical so no I'm not worried. Any hint of a line would mean so much for me!

  33. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @Crystal: Nope..I'm too lazy/cheap for any tools other than pregnancy tests. It is also only our first official cycle. I've only had three cycles pp and they were 38, 28 and 39 days. I go off CM mostly and I was able to pinpoint ovulation for the last two cycles off of it accurately based on when my period started.

    Also, I figure knowing about a chemical pregnancy could be a good thing. That means that you did everything right and can get pregnant, there was just an abnormality. It would also be good to know later down the road if you needed more specialized care.

  34. Crystal

    grapefruit / 4028 posts

    @Radish: that's true- thanks! That helps justify the crazy need to test.

    @buttermilk: I know you'll get your BFP soon!

  35. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

    I had a small bit of spotting this morning I'm in such a bad mood now! I'm only 8dpo - wtf, short luteal phase?? Wtf.

  36. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @theotherstark: Could it be implantation?

  37. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

    @Crystal: I like to enable

  38. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

    @Radish: I don't know. Possibly, I suppose? I generally spot a little bit before AF, so I just have a feeling that I'm out.

  39. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

    @theotherstark: I thought implantation spotting, too! I have been "hoping" for implantation spotting, but nothing yet. My temp jumped up half a degree today. I know it doesn't mean anything, but better up than down! FX for all of us!

  40. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

    @Crystal: thinking of you as you debate starting to test! I'm going to try and hold out for Sunday...unless AF beats me which would be sad times. GL!
