This is the first time I'll be in my 2nd tri during summer and am going back and forth between a 1 piece suit or a bikini.... I am a little self conscious and am not quite sure what others will think. What will/do you wear to the pool?

I did a maternity tankini when i was pregnant over the summer but I was also late 2nd into 3rd trimester.

I also wore a tankini, but I had a weird looking outie and I wasnt a huge fan of my linea nigra either. Most ppl look super cute in a bikini, but I was not one of them.

I have a maternity tankini. If I owned a bikini I wouldn't mind wearing it though.

I'm due in September and was thinking of just using the bikinis I have. I really am only going to be swimming at my IL's. Is the bump offensive?

I was never a bikini wearer to begin with, so I for sure always choose 1 piece. Although I have worn the full tankinis that cover everything before! I like those a lot! But with the amount of stretch marks that I've gotten this pregnancy, no one wants to see this body in a bikini!! LOL

I wore a bikini once this pregnancy. I only thought about if it would fit and totally forgot that my belly would be hanging out. If I had remembered and had more plans to wear it I would probably do a tankini once my rash guard didn't fit.

I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks and I plan on bringing a bikini and a maternity suit (I think it's a tankini). Considering I like to cover up my bump now, I'll probably stick with the tankini.

I think if you can wear a bikini before you are pregnant, then it's cute when you are pregnant. I was no where near being in bikini shape before I was pregnant and will be wearing a maternity tankini top with my normal bottoms.

I wore my regular tankini and pulled the top up over my belly once I was in the water.

If I owned a bikini that fit I'd happily wear it, but finding one for my huge boobs is hard enough when I'm not pregnant.

@sarac: Same here! I just laugh at most bikini tops that wouldn't even cover a tiny part of my boobs!

I will do everything in my power to avoid wearing a bathing suit this summer (but I'm not a huge pool/beach person anyway)

Lasts summer I wore a bikini while pregnant. Although did have to buy a larger size than normal since my chest was so much bigger.

I plan to wear my bikini this weekend on my babymoon! 28 weeks. No linea negra or stretch marks. I feel cute, and DH thinks I look good, so screw strangers!

I was very very pregnant over the summer (end of July baby) and the only time we went to the beach was with dhs grandmother and brothers, so I definitely felt more comfortable in a maternity tankini (and some bigger bottoms I already owned).
This time I'll be second trimester, so I guess the cutest bump stage. I might consider a bikini if my regular tops fit and my bump looks cute. Lately I've been loving the rash guard when at the beach with a toddler though, so I'll see how long that fits.

Bikini! This was with LO. This time I'm in the third tri, but I'll still rock a bikini!

I prefer bikinis because I can get a better fit and support for my large boobs. I imagine that will be even more important as this pregnancy progresses, so I'll stick with my bikinis as long as they fit.

I had this same dilemma. I bought a tankini top at thyme and then a bottom at Walmart because I hated how the ones at thyme cut me off

Bikini because I didn't want to buy a new swimsuit, but I had a winter pregnancy so only had a few times when I needed to wear one anyway.

Wore my bikini on my babymoon last year at 22 weeks. Felt great, but was a little self-conscious about taking the top off (it was a beach in Europe where topless is NBD) due to the crazy vein action going on. DH encouraged me to go for it (as I had pre-pregnancy) and when I did, it was very freeing. You just need to own your pregnant.body. We are not the first pregnant ladies to wear swim suits, and if people have a problem with it they just don't need to look, right? Besides, there is nothing more beautiful than growing a baby!

Tankini top from Motherhood and non-maternity bottoms. I have a massive muffin top this time, so I couldn't buy the bottoms that came with the suit.

I bought a one piece maternity swim suit for our beach trip this weekend. I was worried about a tankini riding up thanks to my big belly since I am 31 weeks. Can't wait to float in some water!

Bikini! Like @Mrs. Bee, I actually feel a lot less self-conscious of my stomach while sporting a baby belly!
