If you were planning on feeding him at /after 2:30 I'd go ahead and feed him if he wakes up after 2.

Just my 2cents:
Don't give in or else he will literally add another wake-up.
You have to just soothe him back down (paci maybe?) or whatever way you did it when you checked on him at the 3,5,7min interval.
Then, next time he wakes and it has been 8h, then is feed.
Ours will make up sometimes and I know he might want to eat? Maybe? But it's only been like 5h. So, I run on sleep sheep and all that and I walk out. He falls back asleep and wakes up at a good time to eat! Then: I'll feed him. Even then it's half a feeding or water (because he does 12h without food, 98% of the time since being 12w old, so I know he isn't truly hungry).

@hilsy85: yes-according the method: you shouldn't. But! I've never had my son wake at 1 and stay awake until 2....if Leo went to sleep after 20mins the first time, then *hopefully* he would never be up an entire hour in the middle of the night:(

@hilsy85: How old is he? Depending on age, I would go check after waiting anywhere from 10-20 min after that 1 am wakeup but would not feed. Ex: kIf he's 6-months old, I'd wait 15 minutes before going in, if he's still crying after that I'd go in and soothe, then put right back down the moment he's calm.

Agree with turtledoves that my LO has never stayed up for a full hour just crying in the motn.

First i'd send DH in to comfort if it's before your feeding time. If he can't get C back down within 10-15 min, I'll gO in and feed her. Just do what you are comfortable with and don't stress out about it.

@hilsy85: He did so well last night! And so did you, mama!! I always sneak in to check on E when he rolls out of the monitor's view and he stirs every tme...I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I wake him up to.

@hilsy85: I totally rolled LO back on to his back last night after finding him face-planted into the mattress. He's 7.5 months and I know it's fine for them to sleep that way but I just couldn't help myself! I was lucky LO went right back to sleep but don't feel bad, I think it's totally normal to be paranoid and take action.

@hilsy85: I'm just wandering how everything went now that it's been a few weeks since you started. Did LO drop all his night feedings or did he settle into one wake up?
