Starting around 26 weeks I started to feel fetal movements that sometimes felt like shaking or tremors. I'm 29 weeks now and I felt them again today. Any one else have this? Is it normal?

I had these! I googled "fetal seizures" all the time lol. By the time the third trimester rolled around they'd largely been replaced by big rolling and kicking. I have no idea what was going on on there!

I remember those! It used to freak me out and I was Googling seizures too! But rest assured, DD came out pink, screaming, and healthy

i had them too - i felt them up near my ribs. i googled and googled, and couldn't find anything. LO was perfectly healthy when she was born.

I think they're hiccups. I felt really quick flutters, and the midwife said that's what they were.

haha I also remember those. they were entirely different than hiccups at least for me! the hiccups were rhythmic and distinct..those weird shaking movements felt like the baby was literally vibrating!

I had them too (different from hiccups - almost felt like the baby was violently shivering in there). I've always wondered what they are!

i'm so glad to know i'm not the only one who has felt these kinds of movements! i just recently figured out hiccups (like @jojogirl said, totally different feeling, but until i realized what they were, they freaked me out, too), but sometimes i feel those shuddering/shaking movements and i get scared, thinking she's having some sort of seizure or spasm. such a relief to know that other mommas who felt this had perfectly healthy babies!

@yourekindapretty: I used to get that, too. I think there's a pressure point on the foot that makes the leg shake because it used to happen when he was a newborn as well.

Yup! Used to freak me out because I didn't think there was any way the baby could kick so fast! They were like tremors or seizures I thought too!

Mini earthquakes!!! I felt them all the time when I was pregnant. When my LO was born I figured out that they were his arms when he was sleeping.

Yes! Felt like really quick flutters. Still have no idea what those are! I had them during both pregnancies.
