I've got a nasty cold. My .midwives said if my fever hits 101 or higher to call them. What happens then? Kinda worried now. Temp was 100.2 and 100.0 back to back (to check for accuracy) last time I did it.

I think they might just have you go in for monitoring. Have you taken some Tylenol? I hope you feel better!

@erinbaderin: Nearly around the clock since last night, and just took some more. Thank you for the info and kind words.

I don't know what happens but I've definitely had a fever that high with both of my pregnancies, and both kids were born healthy. Hope you're better soon!

When I was pregnant with DD2 I had some fun with a fever. I was told to call if I reached 100.4, sadly I was there.
First hospital visit they put me on an IV which broke my fever. I went home after 8 hours and some tests. They told me to take tylenol to keep the fever in check.
I ended up back at the hospital 5 days later bc the fever would just not go away. Again fluids seem to get a hold of it...
Never did figure out what it was...

My doctor has the same policy. I believe they just want to know so they can decide if you need to come in. They had me try to break it with Tylenol. I hope you feel better soon! Push as many fluids as you can and hang in there!

I had two fevers during my 1st trimester - one got to 101, but responded to Tylenol, per the dosing on the bottle.
I also never figured out what either was, but since it didn't spike, I was able to rest at home. They did say I'd need to go to the ER if it went over 101 and wasn't responding. Google searching just told me that a high temp could affect the baby, but I felt more worry using Dr. Google, so I didn't look further.
I hope you're better soon!!

Also try warm/cool showers. That will help bring it down. And cool cloths on your forehead and back of your neck. Fever in pregnancy sucks!
