Personally I wouldn't check overnight, she always wakes me just fine in her own when she feels bad. And I wouldn't give meds just for a 101.7, but I do give them if she has a fever and seems uncomfortable. So I guess if she wakes up overnight, I'd give her ibuprofen. Poor baby.

I usually don't check unless she wakes up and doesn't settle back down quickly.

My son will wake up pissed if his fever gets worse and/or he feels like garbage. I would make up a syringe of Advil and have a sippy of water ready on the nightstand and get ready for a MOTN waking.

Sigh my 17 month old woke up at 11pm with a fever! Ran to get him Advil and ice water and prepped another sippy and syringe for later in the night. I'm sooo sick of daycare plagues. He's been sick since mid December!!

@MamaG: Hope she is feeling better! Funny about the spots! I panicked the other day thinking HFM because G woke with red spots around mouth, but I think it was sleeping in drool too, as they went away in an hr or so!
Her nose is stuffy and with heater on I think she sleeps with mouth opened more and drools

G is now on amoxicillin for a sinus infection, due to fever and bad breath! Pedi said it maybe one! Since she seems to be ok one day and sick again the next!

It seems to be helping and her cough sounds so much better as if loose and coughing it all. Up!

It is so awful when they are sick!
She is cutting 4 new teeth too 4!!!!! And had a rash from meds!!! She(WE) need a break!!! As do you girls too!

Fever seems to be controlled with Advil and Tylenol but he's been digging his thumbs into his ears so I have an appointment at a far off facility this afternoon to check for an ear infection (our local offices are closed for the holiday). Le sigh.

I don't check it overnight. She'd wake up if it's getting bad/she can't sleep, which has been true.
