For us it was after kids but then again, we didn't have a very long relationship before we had our first. Though oddly enough we haven't fought nearly as much ever since we have been married

Actually, we fought more before kids. We're too tired and distracted to argue now. Whenever one of us gets worked up about something, the other one will just give in cause we don't have the energy to argue about it. Makes life easier that way.
