How long did you date your SO before getting engaged?
DH and I dated for 4 years before getting engaged.

1 year. We have had a pretty quick relationship. We met, got engaged, married and had a baby in 3 years. DD was born a month before our first anniversary.

@Mamaof2: we were around 6 months too! But we were both over 30 and knew what we wanted and knew from the beginning that we were right for one another.

7 years....then engaged one year....married 6 years....wow, we've been together 14 years!

@lamariniere: I was 29 and he was 39 - I think on the 2nd date I asked him if he wanted kids - LOL - I wasn't interested in just dating for fun at that point in my life!

6 mths:). We just had our 5 yr anniversary.

We met, got engaged the next year, got married and bought a house the next year, then had a kid the year after!

3 years dating then a 14 month engagement. We'd have married sooner, but I was in law school across the country.

4 years together before getting engaged. We married 5 years to the date of our first date.

We did have a bit of a break for six months or so in college.

We were both older (got married at 32 and 39) and rather independent and needed to get over past relationships before we were ready for each other.

1 year, together 7 years this month, married for 5 this month

1 year of dating then a year of being engaged. Celebrated 7 years of marriage this month!

5 years! Then a year long engagement and have been married for 6 years, so 12 years together.

Just under two years. 3 years almost to the day from dating to getting married. We have been married for 9 years this month.

8 months. Then got married less than 5 months later. I will have known him for 5 years in December and will have been married for 3.5 years with two kids at that point. Crazy!

A year - but I refer to ourselves as 'Quebec married' cuz ya. I'm in no rush - if ever - to go down that road again.

We dated for almost 3 years and engaged for 2 years. We've been together for 10!

We got married 2 months after we "met."

A little over three years but it felt like forever because we were already in our thirties when we met. We lived together for almost 2 years before got married.
