They were completely unsure about our 6 year relationship before we got engaged, "Fiiiiiiiiinallly!" lol At least they didn't give me any issues about moving in after 8 months of dating.

6 years. We worked together in high school and continued dating through college. We did have a 9 month break.

We'd been together for just shy of 3 years when we got engaged. But wehad been living together for over two years, had bought a house together the year before, and had been talking about marriage and kids for years. He came up with his proposal idea around Halloween one year and waited til the next Halloween to propose.
