The perfume I've used forever has been discontinued for a few years now. I am sick of trying to find it anymore. Any ideas on how to go about picking a new scent?

Narrow it down by what kind of smells you like and then just gradually test them. It's best to just try one or two at a time, put them on your skin and then wear them for 30+ minutes before you decide you like them. That way it gives the perfume time to adjust to your hormones and that you'll really get to see what it will smell like on you.

@ zippylef: it was a victoria's secret perfume called halo; i really liked it and have been buying it on amazon since they discontinued it.

@ainsworthe: Oh, I remember Halo. I worked at VS when they discontinued it. I would say VS Pink and VS Body by Victoria are similar light, clean smells. Also maybe even VS Sexy Little Things, which I like and wear.

Do you have a Nordstrom near you? They will give you little spray samples of anything! I need to wear a perfume for a few days before I decide if I like it or I get over it. A little spray bottle gets you a couple weeks! I like light and fresh scents and florals-I love Chanel Chance and dolce and gabana's light blue.
