Not sure if I'm posting this in the right area. I just want to get the opinion of moms of twins. We are invited to a first birthday party for LO's playmates - boy twins. Is it ok to get them a joint gift at this age? Right now I have these cute cars, there are 4 of them. Is that ok or should I get separate gifts? I don't think they really know the difference right now?

Hurmm, I have no idea. I think if I were a mom of twins I wouldn't care for the first birthday. 2nd and beyond I would want the kids to get their own present.
Then again, we wouldn't get twins a joint present for Christmas.. -
I have heard it is a faux pas to give twins one gift but at 1 they really won't know. As a mother of twins I wouldn't mind. As they get older they definitely start to understand and want their own things.

I kind of equate it to having your birthday around Christmas. People seem to hate it when things are lumped together, so I'd for sure do separate gifts, whether the kids recognize it or not.

As a twin mama, I wouldn't mind for their first birthday, I don't think.

At one, I wouldn't mind at all, unless it is something that they're going to fight over. We have a few smaller toys that they both love and always want, and it's kind of nice when someone has given us two of the same beloved toy so they can each have one.
ETA: After the first birthday, though, I think separate gifts should be given just like you would do for other siblings.

Not sure what u ended up with, but I think one big present is better than 2 small for this age. That said, everyone gave my twins each a present. Only ones that didn't gave money.
