My niece and goddaughter makes her First Communion in a few months. What do you think would be a good gift for her? I don't want to get her a bible and I gave her a cross necklace for her Baptism. Should I just do a cash gift? Maybe something personalized?

My mom got my daughters something like this when they were baptized, but I think it's a more appropriate First Communion gift. I just did a quick Google search; they seem to be available in a variety of sizes, different prayers, and price points. I didn't realize they were available this cheap, so you may want to add something - maybe some kind of personalized religious charm bracelet or something? My SIL got my nieces kid-size bracelets like alex + ani with birthstones and their initials and a charm related to hobbies - I bet they'd have a cross.

I got my step-daughter a personalized rosary for her first communion from this Etsy shop:

If she's Catholic, I would ask her parents if she has a chapel veil. There are nice ones in a variety of styles you can find on sites like Etsy for around $20-50, and even if she only uses it for her First Communion (you can wear them to any Mass, too), it would be something special to commemorate the occasion. I might send her some options so she can pick one out that she likes.
If she's Protestant, maybe a bracelet to go with the necklace? Or something she can use each year at home, like a nice Advent wreath candle holder?
(I'm trying to think outside the box of Bibles and rosaries!
Not that there is anything wrong with Bibles and rosaries, of course!)

Ears pierced? Could get earrings to go with the necklace. I remember getting jewelry, a rosary, a Bible for mine. Maybe a religious themed book? Cash would probably be well received too.

We got our oldest Goddaughter a charm bracelet and the younger one a Tiffany bead bracelet with a little enamel pink heart, but I just looked them up and they definitely did not cost that much when I bought it for her.

My go-to is a James Avery first communion charm and maybe another charm with an initial or a bracelet.

Single pearl on a chain? I know you said you already did a necklace...maybe a bracelet? Or simple pearl earrings (if she has her ears pierced)?
Some sort of crystal figurine or light-catcher?
A white silk/lace keepsake bag or purse for her to keep her churchy things in (bible, rosary, jewelry, etc)?

I would do a rosary. I love the veil idea!

How about a picture? I got one from my godmother for my first communion of Jesus blessing the little children. Easily, my most memorable present.

I wanted a veil so badly for my communion day but my parents didn't buy one / thought it unnecessary $$$. So I'm liking the veil suggestions above.
