A king size snickers, followed shortly by a muffin. Later I had a sub from Wegmans (best grocery store ever). The rest of my stay I ate hospital food.

I had hospital food but the next day my mom brought over lots of homecooked yummies for me.

i had hospital food. A turkey sandwich. It was dry and tasteless but it was delicious at the time because I was starving!

Hospital food. My mom brought over all the foods I missed eating because I was pregnant the day I came home from the hospital.

I think I want a bacon cheeseburger or some pizza!

I will probably take the standard hospital sandwich for my first thing I eat. I will want to do a big footlong sub full of cold cuts pretty soon though!

They actually made me and my husband my requested breakfast after I gave birth, it was so delicious. I will probably request breakfast again this time

I want SO to bring me either a very large McChicken meal (with extra large fries) or a foot long Sub from Subway... but I'm sure I'll happily eat anything they put in front of me.

I'm planning on hospital food. My hospital has a menu and you just order whatever you want from it, whenever you want--it's pretty great food I've heard

Hospital food. My labor nurse was so funny and told me what to order and got me a ton of extra food because she said I would need it. I can't remember what she ordered me but I do know that dinner was a "special" lobster and champagne meal that was really really good!

They had me order while I was in labor and our hospitals have really good food. I had a steak and mashed potato dinner, it was soooo good and cooked exactly like I wanted, MR.

@artbee: I am so confused. How were you pregnant when you came home from the hospital?

After first baby, hospital food and California Pizza Kitchen's red velvet cake.
After 2nd baby, just Famous Amos cookies from a vending machine was my dinner (never before had they tasted so good!). Au Bon Pain breakfast the next morning (from hospital lobby)... Then hubby brought in CPK lunch and Sprinkles cupcakes for me and my visitors the next day.

@mediagirl: no, she brought the foods I wasn't allowed to eat while I was pregnant. Like soft cheeses and lox. Sorry if I was unclear, that's what I get for typing with a migraine!

@artbee: ohhh Haha. That clears it up! I was also reading at 6am, so that didn't help things either!

I ate hospital food and lots of Gatorade - I was so thirsty! My first meal at home was my mom's seaweed soup - it's a Korean thing...It's the only thing you're supposed to eat for the first month or something.

tasteless chicken salad sandwich from the hospital which was the best thing I have ever tasted in my LIFE. I was starving! It was one of those boxed meals that my nurse grabbed for me quickly and I ate every. single. crumb in that box.

well i had chicken broth and jello bc I had a c-section and could only have liquids lol. But my first REAL meal was a big ass deli sandwich from an NYC deli across the street that my husband went and got me. I wanted one for SO LONG

@Nskillet: LOL.
I will probably eat something from the hospital ASAP but then ask my family to run out and get me something more yummy after (sushi, a deli sub....drool).

It was hospital food...I remember it was breakfast the next morning (they made me wait for some reason...) and I remember I ordered just about 1 of everything on the menu.

I will probably eat hospital food (which is ok, the hospital is supposed to have really good food), although I'm sure my husband would run out for takeout if I am craving something.
I already have a bottle of my favorite wine ordered and waiting. I special ordered it right after I found out I was pregnant LOL It will be smuggled into the delivery room, if necessary!

I don't know if it will be my *first* meal, but I know at some point very soon after baby is here I'm going to be having some sashimi

I think my husband brought me breakfast from McDonald's, ha. At that point I had gone without anything but popsicles for 36 hours.

I predict that I will want a big greasy cheeseburger with all the fixin's and some home fries! That is what I normally crave when I'm overtired/exhausted. Of course I'm sure I'll be going through sushi withdrawl, but I don't usually crave that when I'm super hungry.

I had hospital food. It was breakfast time so I ordered blueberry pancakes, yogurt, and sausage.
