@whenoceansrise: I heard of mucinex & green tea recently. I don't like the taste of cough syrup! If anything I'd def drink more green tea. I have preseed too, I've just been so lazy to use it.

@whenoceansrise: ugh what the hell?? Are you sure you O'ed when you thought you did? Do you have a chart?
nectarine / 2053 posts
@theotherstark: no, I was just going by the length of my cycles and ewcm. I could have o'd later, but my last period was 2-8 so who knows what's going on!

@whenoceansrise: so frustrating I'm sorry you're in limbo. It's possible you O'ed late, but I'm still hoping you'll get a late BFP

@theotherstark: Looks like you're waiting now in the TWW too! Yay! (well, not yay for waiting, but yay for post-O).
@snowjewelz: did you get the OPK reading??
@whenoceansrise: Ahh! How frustrating! At least still no AF yet. That would be GREAT if we were both pregnant
I still have no idea! Nothing here, no more spotting, no symptoms, no AF. I want to test tomorrow but think I should wait until Sunday, in case AF comes tomorrow.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Kbee: I didn't test again... Drank too much water I think I will try with FMU tomorrow and if not, try to do it around noon. Def gonna keep the BD up! I'm so anxious for you! Do you have anything going on tomorrow to distract you?

Oh, also forgot to add, @whenoceansrise: I was talking to my mom a few weeks ago, and she doesn't know we are TTC, but the topic of TTC came up because of a friend of mine. My mom said that they had trouble conceiving for over a year, and her doctor randomly told her about some "new studies" (back in the 80s of course) that said Robitussin could help with fertility. So she took it and was pregnant the next month! Anecdotal evidence, of course, but can't hurt?

@snowjewelz: Oh, darn it. Hopefully this BDing will be the lucky time!! I have the I-drank-too-much-water problem all the time. I drink water alllllll day. And I hate holding it and not drinking anything just to test
I have a good bit of work to do to tomorrow, so hopefully that will be a distraction (and not the other way around...)

@theotherstark
@snowjewelz: Three cycle buddies!! Let's dominate this TWW!!
@whenoceansrise
@Kbee: Ahh! I'm so excited to hear both of your results!! I bet you are BOTH preggo!! And if not, you can be excited anyway! I read something a couple of weeks ago that said 68% of young, fertile couples tracking ovulation and having sex accordingly will become pregnant within 3 months. That's encouraging!

@snowjewelz: haha you made me laugh with the comment about the morning after BDing you at still 'moist' down there. I totally hate this. I am so used to running to the toilet as soon as weare finished to 'clean' down there and now I have to just leave it. It doesn't feel great! I heard that having legs up in th air and cycling the legs like you riding a bike helps the sperm get right up there. DH thinks I look very funny/crazy
@whenoceansrise: you poor thing going through this crazy cycle. So frustrating. @snowjewelz is right, all we ever do is wait. It is truly annoying. Hope you get an answer soon. People have no idea how frustrating and consuming this process is unless they are going though it (or have been thought it). Keep us posted. Fx for you
@Kbee: good luck to you too!! We need another BFP in this board! Can't wait to hear. It's a good idea to put off testing til Sunday. I just wasted 3 tests last cycle as I wanted to make sure and then AF arrived about 2 hours later I really just need to use my cheapies this cycle and save the good ones until i have a squinter!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: Hahaha yes; my DH thinks I'm crazy too!
Hope everyone's weekend is going well! My OPK this mooring w/ FMU was the same as yesterday's. At least it's darker than earlier this week! Hopefully O is soon.

I just want to say that you ladies are so great! Thank you for all of your support!
Still no AF.. I'm going to hold off to test until next week.

@whenoceansrise: good for you I'm rooting for ya!
So does this look dark enough?!

@whenoceansrise: FX for you, even if no BFP, at least some answers!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsHansen82: I'm so happy that I am finally ovulating... Can't get a BFP without that lol.
@Kbee: Hope you are/were well distracted from wanting to test today!
apricot / 348 posts
@MrsHansen82: I love that stat you posted further up. That is very encouraging. Especially where it says they are tracking ovulation. So many people just say don't worry and see what happens which I think is silly. You are gonna have a MUCH bigger chance if you know when you O, surely! I'm going to remember this for future come backs! Lol

Just posted in the March POAS board, but AF showed for me this morning, so I didn't test. I had started getting my hopes up with AF 4 days late and no cramps (of course I have them now though!). So I'm pretty disappointed. I was hopeful since we conceived last month, and really thought we could make it happen again, but I guess it's not that easy!
But now I am wondering if something is wrong? My 1st cycle I spotted for 3 days before AF, with only a 10-day luteal phase (so spotting started at 7 dpo), my 2nd cycle I conceived but lost it at 5 weeks, and now I had spotting 4 days before AF. I think I have heard that lots of spotting before AF could mean something is wrong? The only curious thing is that this time my LP was 15 days. I'm pretty darn sure of when I ovulated too (using clearblue advanced digital, and it's been the same each month +/- 1 day). I thought the LP never changed, but maybe it's because it's only my 3rd month off the BCP? Would any doctor even want to talk to me after only 3 months of TTC?
So, after a 35-day cycle, now I get to wait another 21 days to O for cycle #4. Sigh. Oh well, it is what it is
Thanks for the encouragement all you ladies have given. No one knows we are TTC so I have no one else to talk to!
@whenoceansrise: I admire your patience with testing! I hope that you get good news soon

@Kbee: oh girl, you and I are in the same boat. AF showed up for me this morning too! After a 37 day cycle. So glad to be starting a new cycle though. We aren't telling anyone either so this is my outlet
kiwi / 560 posts
@whenoceansrise: I'm so sorry At least we can chat with each other about it. How are you doing?
nectarine / 2053 posts
@Kbee: major cramps today. I'm bummed that AF showed up but I am glad to be on a new cycle. Are you going to try anything different this cycle? I've been off birth control since July and started NTNP but got impatient then we started fully TTC. If we don't conceive by May, I'm going to make a doctors appointment. Hoping it doesn't come to that because my insurance doesn't cover infertility treatments.

@Kbee: @whenoceansrise: Oh, bum I'm so sorry AF showed for both of you ladies
I was so hoping for your BFPs!! While AF sucks, at least you're now out of limbo and onto the next cycle. Boo to AF.

@theotherstark: thank you! hoping you get your BFP this cycle!

@theotherstark: Thank you! Hoping the best for you!!
@whenoceansrise: I agree, it is nice to just know that a new cycle has started. I hope you are able to conceive soon, I know the wait must be so hard after the time that has passed. I might try the Robitussin this month, so I'm going to look into that today. I work in the obesity field and have heard a lot about the Mediterranean diet, mostly for it benefits with obesity, CVD, etc. But I have also read that it can help with fertility. I already eat a pretty healthy diet, but I'm going to focus on reducing processed foods and refined grains, and increasing vegetables and oils. Are you trying anything different?
nectarine / 2053 posts
@Kbee: well I heard that it helps if the woman orgasms last so we are going to try that! However, I don't really want a Christmas baby- but if I get KU this cycle, I'm not going to complain! Christmas baby > no baby
kiwi / 560 posts
@whenoceansrise: I've heard that too...maybe we'll give that a try as well! We also do not want a Christmas baby. There are also lots of other special events and birthdays in December and January for us, but I agree, Christmas baby > no baby!!

@Kbee: @whenoceansrise: Sorry to hear both of you are rolling over Go check in on the April POAS thread and I'm hoping the next cycle won't be as confusing and will result in BFPs!

sorry that AF arrived for you both. onwards and upwards though!
found this and thought I would share
http://holisticsquid.com/40-fertility-super-foods/
just to warn you, it stems for the 'Nourishing Traditions' school of thought of eat fat - lose fat. They advocate lots of butter, good quality fats etc so it's not for everyone but I try to follow the NT philosophy and I am at the correct weight. Anyway, check it out if you fancy.

@Mrs.Lilac: Dude this list is beautiful. It's asking me to eat so many things I already love! Popcorn slattered w/ butter? Cream of anything soup? Sushi? Oysters? Butter everywhere? Yes please! Sending this to DH lol.
apricot / 348 posts
yeah it's great isn't it! You should get the book. I have the Nourishing Tradtions book for children too which talks about conception, pregnancy and feeding children. It's amazing. I love this philosophy for food. mainly for your reasons, it's telling me to eat lovely yummy things!
