@tarariggins: That sounds AH-MAZING!!
(On a side TMI note. I think I would just die taking a bath with DH right now, because he would touch my nipples and I would want to kick him. They are so darn sore!)

@HolisticMama: again, fuel to the fire but when I was implanting my nips were so sore and I didn't really notice till my husband grabbed me and I shrieked! You sound really pregnant this month.

@MrsMccarthy: Right?! I totally sound pregnant this month and I'm loving it! Event if I'm not pregnant- the anticipation and hope is just SO fun!!

@HolisticMama: I love your attitude! Makes me smile! I sure hope you get your BFP soon!

@HolisticMama: if it works, it works!! I do believe in the mind-body connection. I've been worried I'd have trouble conceiving for years, so I'm trying to be positive and have faith in my body. FX!

BFN for me this morning. I'm going to try to wait until tuesday to test again (11dpo)
nectarine / 2028 posts
@anyajenkins: Sorry . If Tuesday is 11 dpi and it's still negative, from what I've read, that is still pretty early, no matter what the shiny HPT boxes claim. Hope lots of early preggo symptoms allow you to keep the hope alive. C'mon, HCG!!!

@anyajenkins: How are you feeling today? I agree with @ChiCalGoBee. I tested negative today at dpo11, but I'm still feeling hopeful today. I don't feel out until Aunt Flows.
Or at least I felt that way last month. AF actually surprised me by coming a day early and with no symptoms.
I have a girlfriend who doesn't test until day 17, but I just don't think I could hold out that long. I've always been curious by nature and those wondfos are SO cheap!

@tarariggins: charting sounds super scary to me too. my husband has only just got on board too but i nearly fell over when he asked me about when I ovulate, I told him I had no idea and he said there must be a way of finding out. I was like, erm, yes, there is charting and ovulation kits but I thought it would freak him out. He told me to order the kit on amazon! I couldn't believe it. I haven't yet as it is still so early in my TTC journey. yet I'm glad he is excited now!
@HolisticMama: really am crossing my fingers for you! good luck

@Mrs.Lilac: That's awesome that DH is so supportive. Everytime we DTD, DH is like..."Are you SURE you aren't ovulating?"
Last night: Yes, I am like 3 days away from AF. I'm pretty much the opposite of ovulating.

Hi all! I'm on a new cycle, anyone else?
I have been temping finally, and now I am OBSESSED with studying other people's charts. I am terrified of missing my O day! I'm on CD7, and from the billion charts I've been looking at, most people start to O after CD10 (and of course some a lot later/earlier). I'm not sure when to start using OPKs since I don't know when I O.
Our life has been very stressful lately (related to DH's work), so we're not really in the mood to BD all the time... And he is on board w/ concentrating on it during my fertile window.
It's only CD7 and I'm already going crazy!!

@Mrs.Lilac: hopefully you'll get pregnant soon and won't need to start charting!

@snowjewelz: DH is looking for a job this month and will be out of a job by the end of the week (maybe. They called this morning and asked him to stay on a bit longer). When I had my second path of EWCM this month I REALLY wanted to DTD, but couldn't get him to stand at attention.
This month I wanted to focus on being adaptable. So instead of freaking out, I just moved on.
I am CD27. So I'm in that difficult limbo time. BFN again this morning.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@HolisticMama: I am sorry you are in limbo time! At least either good news will come soon, OR you can start fresh next month! But I love your determination to just go with it!
I am kinda pessimistic, I feel like it's always some form of limbo. Now I am afraid I am not charting well & will miss O. Then after O, it's the TWW. It never ends!
persimmon / 1167 posts
@snowjewelz: Do you have preseed? You could always just DTD at least every 5 days, more when you having good CM. Then you'd likely always catch the egg.
Do you have nice EWCM during your cycle?
nectarine / 2053 posts
So, I think it's funny because everytime I read where someone types "o" I automatically think "orgasm" instead of "ovulation"
hahaha
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@tarariggins: I wonder if random person drops into this board that's what they'll think all the time. It's funny that I used to think of the big "O" exclusive one way, and now it's the other!
@HolisticMama: Yes! I have my box of preseed and intend to use it! So many things to do this month I can't keep up! Gotta bust out that preseed & those OPKs. I definitely have some form of CM... But my question for you and anyone else that's reading, are most of you just checking your underwear, or you get in there to look? I just know I have CM for sure from underwear, and I can kinda tell the difference between dry/creamy/sticky etc. I thought last month I DTD at the right time b/c of what I saw w/ the CM, but looking back I feel like I might have O'd later...
persimmon / 1167 posts
@snowjewelz: Now that I know where my cervix is...I really get in there (with clean hands)- to also check my cervical position. http://www.beautifulcervix.com/your-cycle/
Are you getting enough water in a day? Half your body weight in ounces? This will also help with CM.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@HolisticMama: Ugh no drinking water is my biggest challenge. But boy am I motivated now. Hmm, maybe my dry tendencies wasn't due to BCP, just me not drinking water afterall!
I will go explore at home tonight!!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: @holisticmama: I can usually tell by my underwear. There is a big difference for me between the thinner cm and the sticky, stretchy cm.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@snowjewelz: The only way I could get my water in was by using a half gallon mason jar. I fill it up with filtered water every morning.

Question regarding CM. I sometimes get EWCM during O, but then I'll get another batch later in the month like before AF. Anyone else experience this? I'm 10 or 11dpo tomorrow and I just got some supper thick EWCM tonight. Until now it has been creamy. Confused...
@snowjewelz: I notice my underwear and also get up in there haha! I check my CP too, but the only real differences are during O and right before AF.

@Mrs.Lilac: Welcome to both of us! I'm brand new on my TTC journey too! I feel like there is so much to catch up on with all these ladies. I had to look up all the acronyms too! Best of luck in the coming cycles! I keep wondering if I'm crazy for thinking it might actually happen in the next month or two!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsHansen82: You are not crazy! I am technically only on cycle 1 b/c last cycle I wasn't charting, and I really hope that it will happen soon! It's good to be positive & it def CAN happen for you right away!

BFN this morning and I've started spotting so I'm calling it. I have short LP so I expect CD1 will be tomorrow or fri. I'm feeling totally weepy today! Intellectually I'm fine but I cannot wait to get home and have a good cry. Anyone have any good sad movies to recommend?

@anyajenkins: Aww it's okay! Fresh cycle soon & a brand new chance soon! I recently was watching Benjamin Buttons when it came on TV and cried my eyes our at the end!

@anyajenkins: Look what I found. LOL. http://entertainment.time.com/2014/01/02/crying-at-movies/
I'm sorry you are feeling bummed. I was feeling pretty low yesterday and spent the evening listening to Enya. LOL.

I'm always excited about a new cycle starting, because the new cycle isn't at all impacted by the last. And also because I'm terrified of a long crazy drawn out cycle in which I have no idea what's happening.
I'm usually so consistent with a 28 day cycle.
I am CD28 today. Whew.

@MrsHansen82: hi! welcome, yeah it's all really daunting to be honest. I need to man up and start researching charting and ovulation in general, including CM

hmmm, this board keeps only showing part my my post... don't know if it's just my iPad... it's cutting it off after one sentence? never mind
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsHansen82: Regarding the second batch of EWCM...I got this for the first time this cycle. It TOTALLY creeped me out. I was hoping I was pregnant. LOL...On the flipside- I hope that it's not a sign of PCOS. I have had a cyst problem on my ovary before. I haven't been charting temps, so I'm not sure.
I'm still holding out for a BFP.
nectarine / 2028 posts
@holisticmama: Yes, you never know!!! Believe it and make it happen!! I'm holding out for one, too. I have another 4 days before testing would make any sense, although I am having some "twinges" that I've never had before that make me wonder. I'm holding my breath!

I don't know about you ladies, but I am so happy to see so many women being so open, honest and comfortable with their bodies! Even if this journey is difficult, at least we can say we have come a long way with being okay with how our bodies function. I was talking to my mom the other day and she wouldn't even say the word "vagina". I was so confused!
persimmon / 1481 posts
@mrs.lilac: I haven't started charting yet, as I think thy refers to BBT? Anyway, I just used OPKs this cycle. Right now I'm having sore boobs and acne which I usually get before AF, so I might have to fold this round. 11dpo now
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsHansen82: SO important. I have actually been keeping a facebook album with my journey so that other people can learn from it: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10100294242387990.1073741831.29901698&type=1&l=e14160ac2a
It's been surprising how many people have reached out to me to share their journeys or let me know that they are too struggling with the journey.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsHansen82: I am 14dpo. And I might have to fold, as well. BFNs across the board. I hope I don't have some weird wonky cycle this month. I've never had a weird cycle before.
