@MrsHansen82: Fresh starts are good. I either want to find out I'm pregnant. Or get a fresh start. Being in limbo land- AF is actually something you wouldn't mind getting.
Are you going to try anything new this cycle?
apricot / 348 posts
@snowjewelz:I'm going to get some OPK's too for next cycle. seems like the best option.
@HolisticMama: sorry you are in limbo! must be horrendous. I have realised that you need the patience of a saint when TTC!
as my CM, no, I don't seems to have anything much since coming off BC. thanks for the tip on drinking enough water. I try to drink plenty but I know I don't drink enough. good luck to you though. keep us informed!
persimmon / 1167 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: Yup. Last month I focused on being adaptable. This month I wanted to focus on patience, but this is NOT what I had in mind. LOL. I'm relying a lot on deep belly breathing.
persimmon / 1481 posts
@holisticmama: yes, trying new this month: no more symptom spotting!! I was so sure I was pregnant last month because of all my "symptoms."
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsHansen82: Good luck with that! I just decided to embrace my crazy self. It was working out great until my period didn't arrive. And then I began to feel a bit panicky.

Anything you all want to focus on this week?
What CD is everyone on?
nectarine / 2784 posts
CD3- I am focusing on keeping myself calm and relaxed for the next 2 weeks so that hopefully O is not delayed like last cycle
nectarine / 2053 posts
cd 25. My boobs are pretty sore. Other than that, no symptoms.
nectarine / 2028 posts
Having a really sad and frustrating morning. CD 30 (my past few cycles have been 28 days), 11 DPO, BFNs on FRERs. I'm clearly not pregnant, but can't even put what I thought was a well-timed cycle behind me because I have no sign of my period. I'm not deluding myself into believing I'm pregnant. Looking at this upcoming cycle, if I O as late as I did this cycle, it occurs over a trip out of town without my husband, making my first real chance at conceiving late March. I am sorry to be all "doom and gloom," but with my timing this month I hoped beyond hope it might work.
Feel free to kick my negativity to the curb. I'll try and regroup!
nectarine / 2784 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: Aww it's ok! I was feeling the exact same doom and gloom myself until a few days ago when my cycle finally started. I think ~11dpo through the end is the hardest part to wait for. Don't count yourself out for next cycle though! Yes sometimes life and travel will get in the way, but TTC has definitely reminded me that nothing is a given, even if you usually have perfect cycles. Maybe you will O earlier this time, you won't know for sure until it happens
nectarine / 2028 posts
@anyajenkins: thanks so much. It's so hard to not have control in these things. It's a good test of my (very little amount of!) patience. Hope this cycle is the ONE for you!
apricot / 348 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: that sucks for you. I'm sorry if you do the BD the night before you leave you still have a chance of conceiving unless you are away for more than 5 days so it not totally hopeless. I can totally relate to comp, pelts impatience. I am sooooo impatience at the moment.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: It's okay to feel sad and disappointed. I'm certainly feeling that way today and a bit panicky to boot.
Is there anything you do to work past these icky feelings? Because I'm definitely looking for advice. LOL.
Today I posted the following on my facebook page:
"Telling someone not to stress is not advice. HOWEVER, sharing stress relieving techniques IS advice. So if you would like to share with me some of your favorite stress relieving techniques- I would gladly welcome them."
I had someone tell me this morning not to stress and I about lost it.
nectarine / 2028 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: thanks, lady. Yeah, I was thinking about timing in the car today. I'm gone for 3 nights, so if we're on it the night before I leave and the night I return... Maybe? My timing was spot on this month, though, and I fear being too far outside the window. This process is hard! Hang in there!!
nectarine / 2028 posts
@HolisticMama: thanks for your sweet thoughts. Advice for stress relief....wine, a hot, bubbly bath with soothing music, Any sort of project that can be a mind distraction. We just re-did the floors in part of our house, so I have a lot of organizing and purging to do as I put stuff back in closets. Not fun, but I can put my annoyed frustration on that project and hope it helps?!?!:-)
"Be patient....it will happen soon enough....stressing makes it worse..." All those comments make me want to punch someone
nectarine / 2784 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: and the morning of!! I used to avoid morning sex because I'd rather sleep but I've come to find it can be an efficient use of time
persimmon / 1481 posts
@holisticmama: I love that you put that on Facebook! It's so true. I've always been an anxious person and anytime someone says relax, I'm like, easy for you to say!!
I'm on CD 3 just like @anyajenkins. Right now I'm just trying to cope with some really a bad cramps which I haven't gotten in a while and a sinus infection
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsHansen82: That's exactly what I said, "Hm. Guess that's easier said than done, hm?"
Are you using a heating pad at all?
I also really like neti pots for sinus infections.
nectarine / 2784 posts
I am a recent neti convert.. A few months ago I had a bad cold and the first time I tried it I thought my brain was going to come out, but once I got the hang of it I could not WAIT to get home every day and use it
nectarine / 2028 posts
@anyajenkins: exactly! Time is short-a quickie gets it done!! Which is all I really need during Fertile time anyway...:-)
persimmon / 1167 posts
@anyajenkins: I have an herbalist that even has a tea that you can brew as a sinus rinse. It sure does feel weird brewing tea for my nose though.
I also like allibiotic. http://www.nowfoods.com/Allibiotic-Non-Drowsy-CF-60-Softgels.htm
@MrsHansen82: It's nice being in the time before O so that you can medicate any which way you want.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: I think if I don't have BFP this month, I'm ditching temping & using OPKs EVERY SINGLE DAY instead. I am so frustrated!
persimmon / 1481 posts
@holisticmama and @anyajenkins: I did just get a neti pot. It's amazing! I used to use one a long time ago, but I had forgotten how great they are. I'm starting to feel better, but now DH is sick. We had our company holiday party last night and I'm hoping he's just hung over...
In other news: I'm trying to decide whether we keep TTC the next two months rather than booking a trip in May to our co-workers wedding which is on Ireland. We were going to make a whole trip of it and go to France and/or Italy too. I know that if we book the trip and I get pregnant, I definitely don't want to have morning sickness or anything while we are overseas. I would like to go, but at this point, I have my heart set on TTC...DH says he would rather try for a baby than go on a trip. I just don't want to regret not going though. But when I think about waiting until June to start trying again, I get so sad...what do you all think?
I should also mention that I absolutely dread planes and the 10hr trip from San Francisco to Ireland sounds terrifying.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsHansen82: I totally have a trip planned to Italy and will not be putting off TTC plans. I will just bring an arsenal of homeopathic and all natural remedies if I am pregnant and have morning sickness.
I'm also convinced I won't get morning sickness:
http://wellnessmama.com/6065/how-i-avoided-morning-sickness/
I would vote to TTC and go on the trip. I like to have my cake and eat it too.
apricot / 348 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: haha, I was talking about quickies the other day and my friend said I should make each time meaningful so that if I get pregnant it was from a conception full of love. I was like, yeah ok, in theory but who has the time and energy for that?! lol
@snowjewelz: I feel you. I. so frustrated already. I have my OPK in my amazon wish list ready to be bought if AF comes. and some preseed as I am hearing good things about it and thought why not.
@MrsHansen82: I have a trip booked for April to California (from London so a MASSIVE flight). I could be in the worst stages of morning sickness by then but i still really want to go as if I don't go now (to visit my sister) I won't be able to go for a long time if I have a little one soon!
persimmon / 1167 posts
@snowjewelz: I'm planning on using OPKs every day during my next cycle, because I want to figure out what my body is doing. I got a dark OPK around CD15 but then also again on CD23, which was weird...so I want to track it.
apricot / 348 posts
@HolisticMama: so are you using cheap OPK or going all out with clear blue? I can't decide what to get...
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@HolisticMama: That is confusing! I did read that sometimes your body is gearing up to O but didn't actually O that first time. I'm on CD15, I think I will start using my Target stick OPKs everyday for the rest of my cycle, while I order Babi or Wondfo's from Amazon.
persimmon / 1167 posts
I've been using wondfos.
But I'm so frustrated with the fact that AF is now a week late- that part of me wants to ask DH if he'll buy a fertility monitor.
If he's not down with the monitors- I will probably do the wondfos again.
pomegranate / 3895 posts
@HolisticMama: Could you potentially have ovulated on CD23 and AF actually be late tomorrow? Wasn't sure if this was a crazy thought.
persimmon / 1167 posts
@BakerBee: I definitely have thought about it. I have no idea why that would have occured, since I've had 42 normal cycles, but it's totally possible. I wonder if we'll ever know for sure. Regardless, DH and I are going to have to BD more throughout the entire cycle in the future.

Something that I think is interesting, but pretty wackadoo...
"Back in the 1950s, a Czech doctor called Dr. Eugene Jonas, brought some of this lunar wisdom into the realm of scientific discovery. He found out that women’s fertility peaks during the Moon phase that matches the one they were born under."
http://astrology.about.com/od/themoon/a/MoonFertility.htm
On the 23rd, the moon was in it's last quarter, which is the moon I was born in.
http://www.calendar-12.com/moon_calendar/2014/january
It's probably just some cosmic coincidence, but I still find it to be pretty interesting.
persimmon / 1167 posts
I am kind of bummed, because I worked for awhile on getting my cycle to align with the lunar cycle and now that's all going to be thrown out of the window.

@HolisticMama: I totally ordered one from Amazon today. It was expensive, but if it somehow helps me get KU more quickly, then it will be less in the long run than continuing to buy and (over)useHPTs? Maybe? I need the knowledge, and want to learn more and more each cycle.
nectarine / 2784 posts
@Mrs.Lilac: I've been using the clearblue digital the last 2 cycles. I used the wondfos for months and never once got a positive, but the cb seems to work pretty well
apricot / 348 posts
booooo AF arrived today. I'm sad obviously but at least I know where I'm at in my cycle now. I'm going to buy the clear blue monitor today. I was gonna get the cheap ones but I don't want to go cheap now. i have also just ordered preseed for next day delivery. I agree with holisticmama. I need to do the BD more frequently. we didn't go more than 2 nights without but I recon for the next 2 weeks we will do it daily and hopefully the OPK will give me an idea when to do it 5 times a day
apricot / 348 posts
QUESTION!! with the clearblue digital monitor , do you have to start it on day one of cycle? AF arrived today so should I start testing tomorrow or wait a week? I'm confused... people have said they used cheap OPKs and then used the clearblue to confirm but it don't understand how that works... can the CB one work like that?
nectarine / 2784 posts
Are you referring to the fertility monitor or the ovulation test? I use the ovulation test and start testing around day 10. I'm not sure about the monitor, but I think that one you're supposed to use every day?
nectarine / 2053 posts
cd31 my cycles are usually around 33 days. keeping my fingers crossed for a bfp!
apricot / 348 posts
@anyajenkins: just the digital sticks... do you just start testing few days into your cycle?
