@tarariggins: If I don't BFP this cycle, I am thinking about using OPKs daily (or starting at CD10). BD EOD for us between CD10-CD?? is a lot so I'd like to try to at least figure out when I'm fertile and to concentrate our efforts!

@snowjewelz: haha, good idea! here's to hoping we both get our bfp's this cycle!

@ChiCalGoBee: I hear you about this whole crazy process. I'm getting a little obsessed I think. my husband keeps telling me to forget about everything and 'see what happens' but I want to increase our chances and if that means being VERY aware of my body and what's going on, so be it!
I'm on cycle day 6. I'm going to start using OPK on Thursday as I had a really short cycle and I want to see if (hopefully when) I am ovulating. Fingers crossed we all get a BFP!!

I guess I should start OPKs soon....I'm CD 8. I think the anticipation of O is not nearly as hard to wait for as TWW!!! I am using the monitor, too, and got a "high" today.....seems very early for a high, but if that means I'll O earlier than bring it on? We better start BD VERY soon!!
persimmon / 1167 posts
@snowjewelz: I started OPKs today...CD8 and am going to take them daily this cycle to see what the heck my cycle does. I'm also temping, but since I sleep like a crazy person- my temps are all over the darn place. But I hope I can at least maybe see them get higher??
@Mrs.Lilac: I LOVE getting to know my body. No harm in that. But I also see your DH's perspective...don't let it stress you out if you miss a day to BD. Sperm can live 5 days and with a little divine intervention...anything can happen.
@ChiCalGoBee: Yeah. I hit the OPKs today, because I have been having wet CM. It seems a bit early, but hey...that's okay.
:: shrugs ::
I'm still SUPER excited that we are cycle twins this month! My acupuncturist is totally convinced that my cycle was wonky last month because of the moon (She's pretty out there...like me). So I'm hopeful for a normal cycle...and it looks like I will likely be fertile between Valentine's Day (Full Moon) and my birthday (Last quarter moon= natal moon phase). So that's kind of fun.

@HolisticMama: we are almost cycle twins! This is my first month temping. Used OPKs last month and started them again today (cd9).

@theotherstark: Yayay! Newbie cycles UNITE! LOL!
Any lines on the OPK today?
I was surprised to see anything, really. I am keeping them on a lined piece of paper so that DH can see them too. I also told him I am putting happy faces on the days that I feel "sexy" in the morning.
Just doing want I can to help.

@HolisticMama: Nice., I'll be joining you with the OPKs if I have no BFP this cycle!
nectarine / 2028 posts
@HolisticMama, @theotherstark: yayyyy cycle triplets! I'm kind of crazy this week (work stuff and I have family in town through Saturday) and it appears that I'm possibly going to ovulate earlier than anticipated. It's great, but I gotta up the BD ASAP. I plan on using Valentine's Day weekend as an excuse:).

I'm so glad to hear most of us are right about on scedule with each other! I started my OPKs yesterday. No positives yet, but in have EWCM today! Yay! It's nice when something seems to be going right. We BD tonight and I'm hoping for a positive OPK tomorrow. I'm so pumped for my second TWW! Is that weird? I have a feeling one if us will get a BFP this month!!
I have also been obsessing over nursery and baby stuff. Anyone else getting ahead of yourself with baby stuff? When I see something I like, I just imagine using it for my baby and my heart melts...ahh it all seems like such a fantasy...
persimmon / 1167 posts
@MrsHansen82: I think because I know my chances are actually pretty slim on getting pregnant naturally- I haven't been looking at baby stuff recently, but last year I was ALL about it.
Hooray of EWCM!
I'm still way watery CM.
I'm not sure if I will see a positive OPK, because I've been really haphazard with temping and OPKs. I'm always doing them at different times. I don't need to be perfect, it stresses me out. I just want an idea of what my body is up to, you know?
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@HolisticMama: Just light lines, they aren't positive yet. I had watery cm yesterday with a bit of EW. Just want to get into that tww already! I'm impatient. Ha, I love your smiley faces
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@MrsHansen82: yay, I'm glad that I have lots of POAS buddies and yes, last month in the TWW I was crazed with looking at baby stuff.
nectarine / 2028 posts
@MrsHansen82: I know that with nursery stuff I'm going to go insannnnne, so I'm trying to hold off for now. However, I think about names all.the.time!
CD 9...another "high" reading on the monitor. I had some CM last night-it was wet with a little bits sticky/glue/cloudy stuff in there (I know, TMI!). Anyone know how I should classify that?
cherry / 107 posts
Waiting super impatiently to ovulate. I'm so bad at waiting. CD 23 and counting, wet CM since CD 16, no thermal shift or EWCM in sight. OPKs and fertility tea, here I come! Did I mentions I'm REALLY bad at waiting? i hope this gets easier. Sigh.
apricot / 348 posts
@MrsHansen82: I was a bit crazy last TWW with looking at baby stuff. I speng a whole evening looking at stroller reviews. I have not done it once this cycle but its day 8 so that's not saying much lol.
I did my first OPK today. It felt very good to finally do one. It was negative but I'm hoping this weekend will be a smiley face. We are all very in line with each other! How weird! We'll all be in the TWW goin crazy together. Just got to resist looking at anything baby related (she said, whilst on a baby blog...!)
@HolisticMama: yeah I never thought I would have to know my body so well! My hubby doesn't know the half of it I'm very interested in acupuncture. Does it hurt? I've heard great things about reflexology too which I might give a try.
apricot / 348 posts
@drjolene: I am totally with you on that. I am HORRENDOUSLY impatient. It's a killer!
persimmon / 1481 posts
@HolisticMama: I know what you mean regarding wanting to know what your body is doing. I have actually been more interested this cycle about testing to see when I ovulate so I know when to expect AF rather than when to BD. I absolutely hate being in limbo if I'm a day or two late. So at least if I know when I ovulated, I know exactly when to expect AF. I've had two days of EWCM so far and no positive OPKS. I'm wondering if I missed it, or if it is yet to come. I don't think I've ever had more than three days of EWCM so hopefully it will last a little longer.
@ChiCalGoBee: I would say if you have anything sticky or glue-like, it's probably not fertile yet. I think the thinner, the better until you reach EWCM. I always differentiate EWCM from the sticky, also sometimes stretchy kind by whether or not it's clear. If it's clear I know it's probably fertile EWCM. Which monitor are you using? I don't think I'm there yet, but in the future I might try one.
@drjolene: I'm impatient too!! It's easier this month than last month I think. What cycle are you on? Any positive OPKs yet?
@Mrs.Lilac: ooh strollers! I haven't looked at those yet...stop giving me ideas!!
cherry / 107 posts
@MrsHansen82: This is my first cycle off BC after 14 years. I knew it would be long and weird but you always hope you're the one who has it easy, you know? I was going to try a few cycles without OPKs, but my OCD is getting to me, so I ordered them 2 days ago with the fertility tea.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@drjolene: My first cycle off BCP after 10+ years was surprising regular, one day early actually. But I am interested to see when AF comes now (assuming I didn't get KU). According to FF I O'd later this cycle indicating that my cycle now is longer. But who knows?! I'm gonna use OPKs next cycle now b/c I can't tell what's going on!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@MrsHansen82: @Mrs.Lilac: My God - last month during the TWW I honestly spent so much time looking at strollers, cribs, etc. It was insane. I'm hoping that I can be a little more relaxed/chill this time, but I'm worried once I have O'd, it will all be downhill into crazy-town from there
apricot / 348 posts
@drjolene: haha, I am only on second cycle after coming off BC. I also thought I would give it a few cycles before doing anything but yep, as soon as AF came on my first cycle, I went on amazon, ordered OPKs. I just can't sit back and relax about it all, I like being proactive!
@theotherstark @MrsHansen82: it does get ridiculous right? I just got drawn in. I just looked at one stroller and then I thought I would check out the reviews for that stroller, they were not good so I looked at another... 3 hours later and I'm still googling random stroller reviews and watching youtube clips. Insane I tell you!
nectarine / 2028 posts
@MrsHansen82: EWCM in abundance today!! Out of *nowhere*. I am loving my monitor (Clearblue Easy) so far, as it has had me on "high fertility" the last few days. So early, in fact, that my negative OPK this afternoon would have me ignoring my CM altogether this early in my cycle. Turns out my cycles are pretty unpredictable. Time for some Valentine's Day lovin!!!
persimmon / 1481 posts
@anyajenkins: yes, happy valentines day! Is it totally cheesy to think it would be cute if we conceive on V Day?
@ChiCalGoBee: I'm getting EWCM too!! And also negative OPKs...strange. Maybe I missed the surge? But I'm taking my body's cue and going for it tonight!
@MrsLilac @theotherstark: Just think of how we'll be when we actually have children!
nectarine / 2028 posts
@anyajenkins: I did my part!!!
Wouldn't it be something to have conceived a Baby-tine. (Err... Valen-baby?!?!) I doubt it, as although I did have some EWCM today, negative OPK makes me think I was a bit too early. Highs on my fertility monitor, but no peaks yet. Based on my body + the things I'm using to monitor my body, I'm hoping to hit Sunday or Monday, and then Tues or Weds, too and have O happen magically within the next few days...far earlier than anticipated. If the Fertility gods/Storks are being kind, I may O before my trip next week....
FX and Baby Dust to all!!!

Hope you all made some Valentine's day babies!!
Still having watery and EWCM. OPKs almost positive this morning; should hopefully O later today or tomorrow. Almost there!
nectarine / 2028 posts
So......we had a fun (albeit quick/quiet) BD last night for V day. Fam is in town so that was a little dicey, but.....ya gotta do what you gotta do! Although you always hope that mid-cycle it might "count" for something, I thought it was wayyyy too early for anything. I woke up this morning to the attached picture after FMU. My last cycle I think I Od on CD 19, so this is verrrrry early. I feel like I should trust my body and the monitors, although the OPK itself once I took it out of the holder didn't look positive at all. Anyway, I have my fingers crossed that things are actually working, and that O might be soon? I will clearly be repeating OPKs for the next few days (I usually do FMU and mid afternoon) to see if I still get /the line gets darker. I also wonder if I'll get a peak? This is my 4th day of "high" on the monitor, although I hear with a first cycle it can vary. Temp is still a steady 97.70, so I know I haven't Od yet.
Anyone else with updates?
nectarine / 2784 posts
So the ovulation test gave a peak reading but the monitor is still only in high? I think that's promising, but all you can do is just aim to have sex every day until you leave. Are you going to be able to temp/test while you're traveling too?
nectarine / 2028 posts
@anyajenkins: thanks for your insights! I'd love to BD every day to cover my bases, but my husband is feeling a little bit weary of all-the-time action concentrated on one week. If we aren't able to conceive after a few cycles, I may have to tell him just to deal and be happy about every day...but for now, EOD seems realistic.
And yes-I leave on Thursday (CD 16), and am taking the monitor and thermometer with me. If it looks like I've Od already, I'll ditch the OPKs.
I think I've mentioned this before, but I counted myself "out" this cycle due to last cycles delayed everything and knowing I'd be out of town CD 16-CD 19. I'm feeling very lucky and surprised that I might have a shot this month.
ETA: neg OPK this afternoon, so I'm utterly confused (but am leaning towards thinking this mornings Pos OPK was a false pos). Hoping for consistent positives tom/Monday.
nectarine / 2784 posts
@ChiCalGoBee: I think you have a fair shot- don't be discouraged if your chart is ambiguous though, traveling can throw off your temps! (Esp if you are changing time zones)
nectarine / 2784 posts
AFM, I'm cd15 and still gettings highs but no peak yet. I'm also going out of town wed-sun so I really hope I O before then (with my husband but we're going to be houseguests and probably won't have much alone time) Getting a peak tomorrow would be pretty great too because I only have one more test stick before I need to break into a new box! lol
nectarine / 2028 posts
@anyajenkins: I'm sending O thoughts to your body!!! It will be nice to have it taken care of before the trip. I totally hear you about travel messing things up, and I'm moving forward two time zones so....come on pre-trip peak!!!

Hi everyone, just joined hellobee. We're on our third cycle trying. We actually got pregnant last cycle, but it ended in a chemical pregnancy at about 5 weeks. It was disappointing for sure, but we are hopeful for this month!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@anyajenkins: @ChiCalGoBee: Keeping my fingers crossed for you two to O soon!! keep us posted.
@Kbee: Welcome! I am so sorry to hear about your chemical, but am hopeful that you'll get a sticky BFP soon
AFM, got a positive OPK this evening. Woohoo!
nectarine / 2028 posts
@theotherstark: Yesss!!! Get busy, lady!!
@KBee: Welcome! Sorry about the chemical-here's hoping your next is sticky

@ChiCalGoBee: haha! Too funny.
How's everyone doing this weekend? Who's in the TWW??

Woohoo!!! Finally got a smiley happy face on OPK. I actually squealed and ran back to bed. Husband was very confused but very happy that he got his favourite morning wake up this has worked out really well hopefully as I should have o'd by Thursday when I go out of town on a trip.
@theotherstark: glad you got your smiley face too! Yay!
@MrsHansen82: I can't even imagine how crazy il be if I get KU. I am so excited at just the thought if it. I went shopping with one if my best friends yesterday and she told
Me she was off BC too so we went a little crazy and went to a baby shop 'just to look'. Think I found my stroller though! Haha I swear I am actually not this mental usually.
