Well ladies-I made it happen, man faux-illness and all. I'd love to hit tomorrow too, but don't know that schedule will allow it. If I ovulate tomorrow or even Thursday, here's hoping DH's best and brightest are there to meet the egg!!! Thanks to all for your support. FX our BFPs are all right around the corner!!

@ChiCalGoBee: Yay for BD! Next time just tell him your egg doesn't care if he's sick!

@HolisticMama: I think my DH likes knowing everything too. In fact he's right next to me now asking me what I'm writing about. Haha "baby chat room?" is what he asked me. I haven't told him about OPKs yet though. Maybe next month if no BFP. I might not even use them next month since I'm now pretty confident in what my body is doing. I had so many clear signs this month that it got me really excited about how my body works!

@Kbee: That is a long wait :(. I think the wait before O is way worse than the TWW.

This month seems to be good for timing! I was finally able to BD after a little convincing on Monday morning around 4:00am. I think I felt O happen on Monday night. Now today my nipples are super tender which I've never noticed before around O. I'm hoping that bodes well for my hormone levels his month. So with the positive OPK on Sunday afternoon, my EWCM and the possible O pain, I'm almost positive I Oed on Monday. We were good on timing and BD every other day including O morning.

So - I'm in the TWW!! What is everyone's POAS date? I'm going for 8dpo, Tuesday 2/25.

@anyajenkins: aww- thanks for the love!!!! Hoping for so many s in our futures!!
@mrshansen82: my egg doesn't care, indeed! I'm uber impressed that you got. 4 AM on O day! Wow. Sounds like your timing is plentiful and perfect. Awesome. I'll let you know when O happens and I officially join TWW. Based on fertility signs/monitors, I'm guessing Thursday, although tomorrow would be preferable now that sperm is waiting!

@ChiCalGoBee: is it totally weird that I was wondering wether you got to DTD?? haha. glad that you managed to! yay

@MrsHansen82: so, I have ovulated today (woohoo!!!) according to clearblue. it was the first time to be a stable and not flashy smiley face so we managed to BD last night and this morning and we will again later so I guess that means tomorrow I will be In the TWW and will be POAS around the 5th. I feel like everything has been perfect this month, both timing the BD, using preseed etc and if I don't got a BFP I will be really mystified. It is still early days. just want to skip forward 2 weeks now. I'm very excited!!

    @MrsHansen82: @Mrs.Lilac: yay TWW!!

I'm pretty sure I'm joining you all as well! Tomorrow's temp would confirm and I'm not going to be able to take it since I'm traveling/ switching time zones- but I feel pretty good about today's!

@MrsHansen82: Sounds like you had great timing!! Yaaay. I'm hoping to hold out for POAS until at least 10dpo (which will be Feb 26), but, um, I'll probably cave before then

@Mrs.Lilac: Hooray for O! Glad you guys had good timing. We used pre-seed this cycle, too. I am hopeful!

    @anyajenkins: Oooh, looks promising!!

I love having so many TWW buddies! Makes things much more pleasant.

AFM, I'm 3 dpo today. Sorry if this is TMI, but yesterday afternoon I had a ton of weird creamy mixed with EW CF, and lots of watery CF this morning. I don't usually get fertile CF in my TWW, so I was sort of worried that maybe I hadn't O'ed on Sunday like I had thought. But my temps are still high and all of the other fertile signs/OPKs confirmed O on Sunday, so we'll see. It kind of freaked me out, to be honest. Haha.

Aww, I'm glad so many of us have the same timing in terms of POAS! Can we all please get BFPs this cycle?

@theotherstark: I really hope so, even though I feel like I'm out already b/c I'm having PMS symptoms Maybe I'm just being negative nancy today, but I wish AF will just come so that I can go ahead and order my OPKs and rollover w/ a fresh start already!

Cannot wait to join you ladies in the TWW!

Having an annoying morning. Just realized my thermometer is broken. It's been recording the same temperature in "memory" for a few days in a row. Of COURSE this had to happen mid-cycle when I'm looking for a thermal shift. Ill have to rely on my OPK becoming negative to let me know when LH is gone.

    Anyone have a thermometer rec??

hey ladies, been trying to follow this along with the Feb board, but finding it so hard to keep up. AF is due this weekend, I have been super cranky and tired which is my first 2 signs of af. Not very hopeful this cycle as I never got a confirmed OPK, I have questioned the digital positive in previous months as well. This is cycle 5 for us, so moving on to cycle 6. I am been really bummed about it, which adds to my cruddy mood along with work stress. I go back to my gp at the beginning of april, after 6 cycles for a referral to a gyno. I never thought I would get pregnant quickly, but part of you always hopes! I am just feeling defeated. We have been trying our very best, and trying to time it etc but I think we or I need more help. 8 months ago I was desperate to get ku, and wanted a baby so bad, now I am just sad. We had a long chat a couple weeks ago about how far we would go to have a baby naturally, and we decided on a line for us. I am total type a, and just want an answer, what is wrong, how or can we fix it, and move on to next step. Who knew this would be so stressful and emotional!!

@theotherstark: never TMI on this site:-). Hoping maybe that's a good sign for you!!

So happy for all of you that have O'ed!

@ChiCalGoBee: I don't use the fertility monitor, but I have been using the advanced digital kit, the one with the flashing smileys for high fertility and solid smileys for peak fertility. I get on average 10-11 days of flashing "high fertility" readings, which was frustrating the first time but it was definitely accurate for me! Also, your comment on "man faux-illness" had me laughing because my hubby is the same way! "oh my throat hurts a little bit, I'm soooo sick..." But of course he's fine when I suggest a little BDing

Sorry I can't be in the TWW with most of you, but I will check in and cheer you on!

  14. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@ChiCalGoBee: Ugh, that's so frustrating!! Do they have BBTs at CVS? Or are you ordering another online? Pooh. Just at the worst time, too. haha. At least you have a general sense of timing, though, and if your temps have gone up in the next few days once you get a thermometer, at least you'll know it happened.

@MrsScottish: I'm sorry you're feeling defeated. You're not out until AF comes, though! And if AF DOES come (FX not, though), then hopefully you can at least get some answers from the dr. I think the absolute worst part of TTC is all of the unknowns! It's scary and frustrating. Big hugs

@Kbee: Glad you'll at least be checking in!

I had a drugstore thermometer that was acting up similarly (at first I changed the battery since I had been using it for about a year but that didn't make a difference) so I switched to a 3m nexcare digital and I really like it

  16. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@theotherstark: this was exactly that-a CVS BBT! I have another I can use for the rest of the cycle, but it's one of those pull-out-your-hair moments:-).

@anyajenkins: thanks for the tip. Yeah, I will pick up one of those.

    apricot / 348 posts

@MrsScottish: ahh Hun, sorry you're feeling crappy. You just have to take it a stage at a time. At least you can go to the doctors to get some answers hopefully but by then you might not need it. I read a (somewhat depressing) fact today that a healthy couple have a 20% chance of conceiving each cycle. Not the greatest odds. It also said 80% of couple will get KU within the first year. This whole process takes time unfortunately.

  18. Mrs.Lilac

    apricot / 348 posts

on a side note, I'm O'ing today and I am really feeling it. I've never been aware before but I'm having some cramps and generally feel a bit period'y. it's the weirdest thing. I guess that's a good sign that I'm actually ovulating. Anyone else feel when they ovulate?

Another question, so if I have I fact O'ed today, does that mean there is technically no point in BDing tomorrow? I'm confused. I'm going away tomorrow but I'm worried that I should still be with my husband so we can get in a few more BD sessions... I'm a bit baffled about this process still...

  19. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

Today is really just a negative day for me! Feeling PMS symptoms, and talking to my coworker friend that "just got KU" and they weren't even trying...

I think secretly I was always hoping that I'd be one of those and now at the brink of moving into cycle 3, the realization kicked in that it's not going to happen!

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@Kbee: Faux man-illness is the worst! I am hopeful that this cycles timing will yield a BFP, of course, but if it doesn't... We will sit down and talk heart-to-heart about needing to BD every day during fertile week. Through faux illnesses and real ones!

  22. whenoceansrise

@MrsScottish: aww, I'm sorry! Hoping you get a bfp soon!

@Mrs.Lilac: last cycle I had the most intense cramping days before O, and this month...nothing. So odd how it ebbs and flows.

I am NO expert, but from what I understand some ladies BD on O and O+1. However, all the books advise that after O is "too late," so I have no idea!!

Moment of appreciation time: I am so glad that I decided to delurk, and for this thread in particular. After wanting a baby for so long, and not telling anyone IRL that we're trying, chatting on here has been a much-needed release. I'm going to be off the grid for the rest of the week while I'm traveling and I'll miss checking in, but I hope I come back to some good news on this thread!

  25. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@Mrs.Lilac: It's so funny - I never really noticed when I ovulated before TTC, aside from noticing the CF (and that was only after I read TCOYF and started watching for the CF). Last month I am almost positive I know the hour that I ovulated, due to some pretty intense, localized cramps. This month, though, I only had some minor cramping and a little bloating for O. So I think it just varies from cycle to cycle! So weird.

As to O and O+1, I believe I have read that the egg is viable for up to 24 hours, which is why some people have success hitting O+1. You could theoretically ovulate around, say, 4pm on CD 13, have sex that night or the next morning, and have the sperm still reach the egg in time. That's my understanding, anyway, although I am definitely not an expert! I could be wrong.

@snowjewelz: I, too, was secretly hoping I would be one of the special few that would get a bfp on the first try I think we all hope that! But fingers crossed that it will happen for us all soon. I am also hoping that you're experiencing pregnancy symptoms, rather than AF ones

@ChiCalGoBee: Shoot. Well, I can't remember what kind I have. I think I just typed Basal Body Thermometer into Amazon and bought whatever came up. Haha. It then sat around in my nightstand for a year until I finally decided it would be interesting to temp.

@anyajenkins: Yes, I love this thread! We're not talking about it IRL either, and my husband doesn't like me constantly yammering on about it (understandably), so it's nice having somewhere to vent where others are in the same boat. We'll miss you!

I feel like I've breathed a huge sigh of relief now that I've had what looks like my first post-BCP ovulation. I was expecting it to take a lot longer. Ironically, ovulated the day after I started drinking fertility tea. Just had to express my excitement moving into the TWW to someone.

@ChiCalGoBee: @theotherstark: ok so I think as long as I BD tonight and tomorrow morning, I've covered my bases as best I can I suppose.

@anyajenkins: I totally get that. I don't talk about this to anyone so this thread came along at the most perfect time. Some of the other massive threads are just so confusing. I guess joining his one when it was at the very beginning worked out really well.

I did me mention that I used OPKs to my friend and she thought I was crazy. I going to keep all this baby making talk to these boards from now on.

@drjolene: yay for the TWW. I'm crossing my fingers, toes and everything else for us all. Surely the odds are that one of us will get a BFP (if not all of us soon?!

Positive OPK this morning, and it was negative by 2 PM. Does that make today O day?!

Copying @anyajenkins...I am SO immensely grateful to have you all and this board. So grateful! Thanks @holisticmama for getting it going!

@snowjewelz: How many DPO are you? You don't know you're out until AF comes!

  36. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@theotherstark: Tech. 13DPO, but it's unclear since I don't have my actual O date. It's okay, I know I'm not out till AF, but I like to be pessimistic so that I don't get overly disappointed, or I can be totally surprised w/ a BFP that way!

  37. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@theotherstark: lol. You're preaching to the choir, friend!! I'm not even sure if my thermal shift has occurred (stupid thermometer!), but my nips were sore for a second today and I'm all, "OMG is that a SYMPTOM?!?!"

    Oh the insanity!!

  38. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@ChiCalGoBee: Dang it, thermometer!! Did you order another one?

I had a huge temp jump today, which sort of freaked me out. I wanted to temp because I was curious as to what my body was doing and thought it would help me calm down to know what was happening, but I think it's making me more stressed! Haha. Worrying that I'm not normal and all that, I guess.

  39. theotherstark

@snowjewelz: Did you test today?! I am so anxious for you!

  40. snowjewelz

@theotherstark: Nope! I am the queen of not testing! If you need intervention to stop testing so early, talk to me! I don't want to be disappointed multiple times so I'm holding out to see if AF will come this weekend first.
