Ok. I won't lie, I'm going to freak out a little.
I had my RE appt today - of course their blood machine was broken so I won't have betas until tomorrow.
I am spotting - right now really light pink, but I'm freaking out a little.
Someone tell me this is okay.

I spotted at 7 weeks, 9 weeks, and 11 weeks and everything was fine. Spotting can be totally normal. Unless it becomes heavier and bright red, try not to freak out too much (though I know that is easier said than done).

Pink and brown not accompanied by cramps are ok, red isn't! Thinga could just be irritated

@blackbird: I've had crampings since just before my BFP, I figured it's things changing down there

I spotted with both especially this one. Very normal this early. Big hugs! The first trimester is so hard and scary but just remember the vat majority of pregnancies go on to be healthy babies. Thinking of you!

Just to clarify, cramps are definitely fine/normal as long as they're not severe. I've had them off and on almost all the time and I'm 9 weeks. Just things stretching!

If you had an internal exam, that could cause the spotting. I also had light spotting and light cramps at 8 or 9 weeks after doing a LOT of walking... it went on for a whole day, but then stopped. Try to stay calm, lie down, drink more water, and take it easy.

@babycanuck: Sounds very normal to me (this from the lady who's had lots of varied types of spotting and actual bleeding so far this pregnancy)! FX for great betas!

I have bled with every pregnancy, and with my last one I had a lot of cramping. Currently a mother to an almost 5 yo, almost 3 yo and a 1yo!

I had pink spotting and red blood with both of my pregnancies. I also had cramping the first couple weeks. It was unnerving but both of my pregnancies went well. So happy for you and hoping that all is great -- I'm sure it is!!

@babycanuck: I spotted the entire first week after my BFP(mostly brown)-I even had one huge red gush. It happily continued and my son is healthy and almost 8 weeks old! Fingers crossed for you!!

I had horrible cramping with bright red bleeding with my last pregnancy. Went for an ultrasound and everything was fine. First heard DSs heartbeat at that time. They told met bleeding was normal and unless I started passing tissue, not to worry. DS has a birthday in about 3 weeks

thanks for all of your insight. I woke up to really heavy bleeding, so I guess that's it for this little poppyseed. DH is home from work today, which is great because I woke up bawling my eyes out.
Left a message for my GP and the RE, I don't know what's next.

@babycanuck: Im so sorry to hear this. Its so scary. Try to see if you can get into an office to have an ultrasound done so you know how to proceed. This may not be the end but I'm sure you're ready for answers.
When I had the bad red bleeding, they said to try to stay laying down, only getting up to use the bathroom and don't lift anything. I'm glad I followed orders because it was a SCH and baby turned out fine.

I hope everything is ok. Have you had any scans yet? Perhaps you have a subchorionic hemmorage, in which case, you might bleed red, but bubs is ok?

Thanks everyone. The RE said it looks like it was a chemical...which I guess is easier, bc that makes this a period, but I'm still so heartbroken. I don't know how I'll react when I get another positive test, probably way more cautious than this time.
