I purchased a rock and play newborn sleeper from the Mom Sell group on facebook in my area. I paid $30 and it appeared in great shape!
I've been doing the baby's laundry, so I took off the pad to wash it. I noticed mold IN the fabric that's attached to the metal frame! I did a quick google search and noticed that this apparently is a common problem, and can only be spot treated. Since I already spent $30, I didn't want to spend ANOTHER $60 buying a new one, and I didn't feel comfortable reselling it to another parent.
I called fisher price to see if there was any way to clean it, and the woman didn't even question me - they said to send them part of it (the "hub" - the piece behind the buttons with the item # on it), and they would immediately send me a BRAND NEW sleeper! I was stunned.
Just wanted to share, so if anyone else has any issues with Fisher-Price brand items, give them a call!
