Have you ever flagged a post? If so, what happened (if anything)? Have you ever wanted to flag a post? If you wanted to but didn't, why not?

It's pretty rare that we get flags... a few a week, tops?. Usually they're about accidental double posts!

Here? I've flagged once for spamming I think. On a couple other communities I have a couple of times for personal attacking or profane/offensive language (calling me or another poster names, etc)... it takes ALOT for me to flag someone/something though.

I flagged a post one time, but then the whole thread got deleted. So..I guess others did too!

Nope. Occasionally I hit flag on accident though. But then I just hit cancel

No. Nothing can be said on the internet that I wouldn't just roll me eyes at. Flagging takes way too much effort.

I don't think I have...maybe a "good flag" once or twice.
honeydew / 7091 posts
No, I haven't. It would take a truly mean or offensive post for me to flag it.

I did once when a company made an account and started talking about their products. I didn't flag because I was upset or offended, just to check that commercial accounts were allowed. Mr. Bee set it all straight quickly.
And they are allowed. FYI.

I think I have twice. One when it was clearly spam and once when I thought someone made a bit too personal of a comment directed at someone else. The spam got deleted, I don't think I ever checked the other thread again to see if the comment got moderated or not - it was quite awhile ago

I just flagged a duplicate post! I was so excited to click on it and see what would happen

I haven't, but I would if someone said something very hurtful or insensitive about another bee/topic. I guess I would if it was obvious spam, too, but I've never seen that here.

@LindsayInNY: I usually delete those right away, unless I'm sleeping.

@LindsayInNY: Ah sorry it's 5 in the morning here in Manila! I'm kinda out of it...

Why would anyone flag something on a pregnancy website????
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
@MrsMcD: I just scrolled through our flags, and most flags are about three things:
* Duplicate posts/threads accidentally posted
* Threads miscategorized in the wrong message board
* Vendor spam!
All told, we get maybe a few flags a week...

@mrbee: I'm so sorry for anyone to cause you and Mrs. Bee extra work. I wouldn't really care to much about anything that falls into those three categories.

@MrsMcD: We've learned the hard way that vendor spam can be really annoying! So now we try to stay on top of it...
pomelo / 5257 posts
@BananaPancakes: haha good point, I just don't think flagging would occur to me for some reason, even though the button is right there. I'd probably just ignore anything I didn't like.

All the flagging I have done is for self-promotion (referral links, etc).
