My 3 year old daughter got the flu shot and still ended up with the flu (the shot wasn't very effective this year, so your husband may have still gotten sick even if he got the shot). I FREAKED out when she tested positive because I had a 3 month old in the house who was obviously not vaccinated. But luckily, he was totally fine. We got Tamiflu for my daughter and her fever broke that night, so it worked really well for us. And I just nursed my son non stop to help build up those antibodies. I also snuck some pumped milk into my 3 year old's milk cup, I figured it couldn't hurt in helping her recover faster.

@babynumber1: that sucks, I'm sorry! What is it with husbands not getting the shot? We had a baby in December and I started asking my husband to go get it in the early fall- he didn't actually get it until February and then it was only because I laid the guilt on really thick (he didn't get me a bday present and I said the only thing I wanted was for him to get the damn shot and he STILL didn't until after my bday!). I hope you can contain it to him
