Did you have more than one name picked out when you had your first child? Did you use that other name for your second child or did you come up with something completely different?

We were team green with Wagon Jr. so we had a list of boys names and a list of girls names.
This time around it's a girl, and we have a list of girls names, but none of them are any of our original names!!
Our original names were Jodie, Holly, and Natalie (the last two because it was a December baby).

I feel like I already know the names of my next 2 kids as well.. but that may change

Totally different for the second child! We came up with a different boy name even though we still had the one from our first kid.

We picked out a boy and girl name for lo. If we have a boy next we'll just use lo's name if she were a boy.

We had a boy & a girl name and we saved the boy name and would have used it for #2 but we're having another girl! I think the boy name will always be in our pocket.

We had a couple of names we liked, but we won't be using them for baby #2!

We didn't plan ahead. Had no idea what we were going to name number two until we had to sign the birth certificate, ESP since she was a month early.

We were Team Green with both babies, so we had one boy and one girl name picked out each time. With DD, it was a good thing she turned out to be a girl, because we weren't in total agreement on our boy's name. With DS, we used half of the boy's name we had picked out before, and came up with a whole new girl's name. When we have #3, we'll keep the girl's name we came up with for DS, and we'll pick out a whole new boy's name.

I plan on using one of the frontrunners for baby #1 for baby #2 if we have a girl! Mia, Natalie, Josephine, Ellie...

We had two names picked out for Lala. One of them was specifically for if she had red hair (runs in both of our families). We never looked back and found a completely new name for number 2.
@Honeybee: I really like your girl name that you had in reserve for Little Guy.
PS we have a great boy name... we would use that if we ever had a boy.

@Mrs. Jacks: I love our girl's name, too. Boy's names are so hard, I kinda hope we have another girl. I'm not sure we'll find another boy's name we like as much as DS's!

@Honeybee: I don't know if I know the girl's name that would have been for DS.
When we got pregnant we had a boy name figured out and that was it. We had other maybe names, but we went with the original one we came up with first. We never really had girl names set, so we are in big trouble if we have a #2 and it a girl.

@Boogs: If DS was a girl, he was going to be Penelope Josephine (btw, one more thing Mrs. Jacks and I would have had in common :).

@Honeybee: Super cute! Well you can't help it that it's a great name. Btw, DH just told me he will likely be headed your way for a bachelor party mother's day weekend. I might need to hire you to make sure no strippers show up since we were told there won't be any. ;p

@Boogs: Lol! Done. I can stalk the casinos if need be (I assume that's where he's going, since there aren't any strip clubs up here).

@Honeybee: No, they are actually keeping it "classy" and golfing among other things. I haven't been there since I was young, I really need to go again one of these years!

@Boogs: Lol, super classy. If you make it up here, we HAVE to have a date!

We had 1 boy and 1 girl named picked. We had a girl and our boy name was taken by a close friend of mine. So if we had another baby, we would be starting from scratch.

We have 2 names for each picked, but if we have twin boys, one will be Connor. (It's a weird inside joke, though we like the name on its own.) Our second girl's name is far from set in stone (Bethany Jane. I also like Marilee, after my grandma)
