Why??! Why is it when I am home alone there are weird unexplainable noises. Dh works shift so I'm currently home alone in bed ( it's night time here) and there is a weird tapping noise...even the dog keeps pricking his ears up. 
what the hell is that??!!

I have all the outdoor lights on and one dog inside to protect me and one dog outside to guard!!! Lol there are now branches near the house so I have no idea what this noise is... It is windy though.

Dude, I HATE this. I'm SO good at psyching myself up about this kind of stuff. I also get super creeped out by any/all scary movies and am the absolute WORST with exorcism-kind of stuff, which seems to be ALL over DirectTV lately...combine that with a dark house with mirrors EVERYWHERE...not cool, brain, not cool.

My protector is now asleep... Not sure if that is a good sign or a bad sign... The noise is still there!

My husband works night shifts and I have to keep the TV on really loud so I don't hear/make up random noises!

This happens to me too. Last night was the first night in the new house by myself, I kept hearing all kind of noises.

This is the worst! I usually fall asleep with the tv on so I don't hear stuff like this.

Ok the noise has now stopped... And it's quiet. Almost too quiet... I really should go to sleep!
