These names are lovely and totally US-friendly.
I had a classmate with a name similar to the French take on Marie featired in the article- Mariel.
Do you think Kais is pronounced like "case"?

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: oooh I read that as Kai.... I don't think the s is always pronounced at the end of French names. Not sure though.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: when I read it I pronounced it "Kai", silent s. But I have no idea!
These are beautiful!
One of my favorite names is Madeleine

There is a Melina in my LO's preschool class. I was worried that LO's name would be on that list. Phew!

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: @travelgirl1: I think it is probably pronounced Kai-EES. I think the S would be pronounced.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime @lamariniere: I'm pretty sure it would be pronounced almost like the spanish "Que" or Kay - the s would definitely be silent, at least in France. (for reference, I speak French)

@erinbaderin: I speak French too. I was thinking it would be pronounced kind of like Anaïs...No idea if the article cut out the ï from the name though.

@lamariniere: Oh, the diacritic mark! I didn't even think about that! Good call. And I just googled it and you're totally right.

@erinbaderin: cool! In any case, I had never heard of that name until this article.

There are some nice choices here! I really expected to see Maelle/Maëlle on it.

There are some cute ones on there for sure!
A variant of my daughters name and also our choice for lo2 if he had been a girl (although listed as a boy name, Remi/Remy) are on there too.

Ooh these are so adorable! I'm a French teacher so I have a total soft spot for French names (though for my daughter we gave her a name starting with an H, so not so French-friendly!)
Funny I was literally just thinking about the name Louise/Louisa this am on my drive to work and how it would be so cute to call a little girl Lou. Love Lilou too!

I really liked most of the girl names, and did not care for the boy names at all. Which is a bummer since we have a currently unnamed baby boy on the way!

@travelgirl1: i opened this thread before i saw you tagged me
I like some of the girl names more. the boy ones i would want to be a little more common.

I love these names! (and those are some of the cutest babies ever!) We have a french last name so maybe we should go with that theme for LO #2
