Our LO cracked the top 20. I am fine with that, it's a traditional name and usually fairly popular but we haven't met/seen/heard of many other babies with it. Hopefully there won't be 6 other kids in each class with the same name.

The name we have picked isn't even in the top 500--we picked it on purpose because it's not overly popular, but not unheard of either.

I don't see ours, but she does have a Japanese variation of a really popular one. I know a little over 20 young ones named within the top 25.

My LO's name isn't on the list. She's number 274. It's pretty old school.

Not on the list, not even in the top 200 and it's a "regular" name with the original spelling.

We have a traditional name (with traditional spelling) picked out for both a boy and a girl at this point and neither crack the top 100. Woo!

The girl name we like is not on the list, but a lot of the boys names we like are (William, Owen, Evan, etc.)

My LO's name is in the top 25, but was much further down on the social security 2010 list, which is part of the reason we picked it. Oh well!

Wow, last year I think it was in the 200's and this year it's #40.

One of my really good friends recently had a boy. They named him something they thought was not common and something they had not heard much of....ended up being #3 on the boy list for 2011. Even really common last year but REALLY jumped up this year!

Two of the names we liked were in the top 5 (Olivia and Sophia), and our runner up was #77 (Caroline). The name we're going with is not on the list, so I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. (Her name will be Willa)

Sucks to your auntie! My favorite boy names are #1 and #4, (Aiden and Liam). I don't want something unheard of, but I also don't want something so popular my kid has multiple other kids in their class with the same name. But I REALLY, REALLY like those two names. *pouts*

I am happy that neither of our names are on the list! We are team green, and have chosen gender neutral names (we are just drawn to them) and we will use them both (one for first, one for middle), we just need to see our little one for the first time in person to decide on the name order.

A name we were considering for if we have a boy is on there. We decided to scratch it though because his initials would be SAK.
