LO is 27 months, and she still doesn't understand "why". For instance, if i ask, "Why are you mad?" or "Why are you sorry?" she won't know how to respond.

She's 21 months and doesn't understand it, but she uses it at least 100x a day. Her response to almost everything is "why" these days. Makes me want to pull my hair out

LO is 26 months and understands it a decent amour if the time. Though, I usually prompt her with explanations if it's about emotions. Even though she understands how to use why, she doesn't know all of the emotions to answer.
