They are really freaking comfy. I now own 3 pairs of shoes/boots from Frye. The El Dorado goes with almost everything I own. I get tons of compliments on them. I also have the Carmen Harness, which are more of a winter boot, i'd say. i don't do the "country" look of dresses with this shorter boot. But i like them with skinny jeans tucked in or under regular jeans (not tucked in) for a clean look at work. I do think they go with dresses/skirts, but they aren't a look I pull off. For sandals, I also have the Reigna Belt Sandal, which I have worn a TON this summer and always get compliments on, too. And they are very very comfy. Since they're all real leather, they only take a couple of wearings to break in. I wear my El Dorados a ton in the fall/winter/spring and my ONLY gripe is that they are riding boots, so they have a very smooth/flat sole and therefore ZERO grip in the snow, so I don't wear them if it snows or I'll fall.

So comfy, so worth it. I have the Melissa Harness and wear practically every day in the fall/winter. I also have the Engineer 12R and Campus (but they are too small since having LO) and the Billy pull on (got these for my wedding but are too small now). I should sell all of my too small Fryes and get some new ones!

I have two pairs, Jane Stitch in tan and Shirley short strappy something or other in black. They are SO worth the money and are super comfy.

Question for those of you who have & love Frye's...I tried on a pair a while back and they were HUGE on my calves. I like boots a bit more fitted (or at least not huge gaps) so I was bummed since otherwise I liked them. Anyone else have this issue or do you all wear them large in the calf area?

@blackbird: chicken legs....heh. Hmmm...perhaps I'll give them another go & try again.
