As discussed in the previous thread, I've started a gofundme fundraiser for a care package for MsBadger. Please leave suggestions for what to be included in the package, and then I intend to give the remaining as a gift card (my go to is Amazon but let me know if you think a different place is more appropriate). @beaker: I think books and magazines are always nice. Gift cards are good because they don't take up a lot of space. What about one of those portable USB phone charger things? Coffee thermos?

I like the idea of a prepaid credit card. They can use it for medical bills or food or whatever they need for Lucas.

I agree that a Visa card that can be used for whatever is perfect.

A few small gifts could be nice like magazines/books and snacks and I like the idea of the visa gc to go towards medical expenses or food.

This is seriously amazing. Part of what makes this community so great.
I also agree a gift card would be an awesome way to help mom and dad. A small care package with a few snacks, a baby book and maybe a few other things, with the rest being on a visa gift card.

I'm blown away. This community is amazing. How long should I leave the fundraiser open? Through Sunday and then I can send stuff out Monday?

Ok, the most straightforward thing for me is to use Amazon. My goal was to have a $100 care package... this is what I have. Thoughts? For the prime pantry stuff, I wanted to include easy to grab snack items they could bring to work or the hospital, and household staples so they wouldn't have to run out to the store for them.

@beaker: Be careful about scented products, some hospitals won't allow them.
