I admit that I vaguely heard something about people getting the measles last week and didn't think about it. But today I received an e-mail from our pediatrician's practice with an update. All pediatric providers in certain zip codes are being asked to make sure that their patients have been/are vaccinated. These are the zip codes: 10034, 10040, 10033, 10032, 10451, 10453. Our pediatrician is also advising for parents to have their children between the ages of 1-4 (in any zip code) who come in for scheduled visits to have the MMR booster now, instead of waiting until 4. LO has her 2-year coming up in April, so we will most likely give the booster.

I'm not trying to start a debate about vaccines because that's a losing battle, but I know there are lots of NYCers on HB.
