My husband was surprised how much it got to me- I just can't believe how long that poor mom had to wait to hold her baby.
While they get the absolute best care possible there, it is the hardest thing to leave your baby alone in the hospital, I am so thankful to have had it last such a brief time. My heart goes out to those families with bigger medical issues.

I know exactly which commercial that is without even having to watch it. I bawl every time I see it. All I can think about is how hard it must be for those parents, and how heartbroken I'd be if it were my baby.

The commercial is beautiful, just beautiful. I was one of those NICU moms. With my twins, I held one son at 6 days old; the other I didn't get to hold for 10 weeks. 10 weeks! That was torture every.single.day.

@sandsandmore: just reading that makes me cry. I cannot even imagine how difficult that would be.
