My dad was a baggage handler and worked on planes for 40 years. My parents have always said planes are some of the germiest places around! Gag...flying next week wth the kids and antibacterial wipes in tow.

Gah! We're flying in a little over a week and I am such a germophobe. Will not be touching the tray tables! I'm going to get some disinfecting wipes, too.

I wiped everything I could get my hands on with antibacterial wipes when we flew with DS last summer. YUCK.

The grossest part of the plane is the seat back pocket, so don't put anything in there unless it's in a bag. I use the air sick bag as a container for water bottles, as an example.

@mrsjyw: I did the same but it gets harder as LO gets older and gets her hands on everything! The last couple trips we've been on have resulted in colds, fevers... Pretty sure at least one of which was from the plane.

I'm always armed with non-natural Clorox antibacterial wipes to wipe down the entire area we sit in, including the windows! Not surprised that the tray table has the most germs. I'm so grossed out just thinking about it!

LO and I have both been sick since we flew a couple weeks ago. It doesn't seem to be getting better, so we both have doctor's appointments today.
Oh, and we also gave it to DH, but he seems to be bouncing back more quickly. Gaahh.
