We just bought 2 of these and about to travel via plane. I’m not tech savvy so please help! lol
How can they watch shows or play a game while in air? Currently, Amazon kids is on it and i’m logged in… how do I have everything set up so it works? Do I need to download the airlines app? thank you!

On the adult side, you can download apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, etc. On any of those apps (or apps like Amazon Prime), you will need to download the movies or episodes that you want them to watch (in the apps, there are little down pointing arrows next to the items).
You won't have access to Wi-Fi, so will need to make sure that you have items specifically saved on the tablet if you're planning on using the tablet for videos.
Once that's done, you'll need to make the apps accessible on the Kids profile. I don't' remember off the cuff how to do that. This link seems pretty helpful though!

This should go without saying, but please make sure you also have headphones! The last few times I've travelled (flights and trains) there have been kids on screens at normal volume, no headphones, and it's so annoying.

agree with responses above!
To test it out and make sure you have offline access.... take the Fire to a place with no wi-fi or service at all, and see if you can watch them.

@cake2017: They might offer wifi but at least on Southwest, you have to pay for it. Annoying. I always have the airline app downloaded anyway, I dont think that matters for wifi? not sure!

@pachamama: We got it to work! Thank you all for the feedback!!! We flew Jetblue and wifi is free! However we didn’t need it!
