Many of us with 4-5 month olds have been posting up a storm about sleep. Regression, napping problems, etc.

Sleep has been awful in our house off and on for the past month. Multiple night wakings (last night lost track) and naps suck - one long morning nap (but often wakes after 45 mins) and then 45 mins the rest of the day....often 20 mins....or nap refusal. Anyways I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get back on track? Early bedime worked one night. But I feel like every time naps are ok bedtime sleep sucks and vice versa. Vicious cycle. Tonight DS has already woken up 6 times since 8 pm. He is over tired and I don't know how to fix it.
