We had the locks changed after we got the keys but I want them changed again. About 5 contractors (and their crews)have used a key to do work and I'm paranoid! DH thinks I'm crazy to want the locks changed again!

Do what makes you comfortable! I'd get them changed since so many ppl have your key!

You know you can have locks re-keyed instead of changing them. And it's actually cheaper to do so!

I would change them if it makes you feel more comfortable. I was just asking DH, when we move, and they give us the keys, what if they have another set and can just come in whenever. Ha, that's my paranoid side.

@autumnlove: A cheaper alternative is to have your locks re-keyed by a professional locksmith. We did this when we moved into this house because we changed the door lock on the garage and didn't want to replace the pricey front door lock. It was relatively cheap compared to a new front door lock. He made us one new key and I just had them copied at Home Depot.
