I have a Samsung galaxy s4 and a Macbook pro. I tried last night to transfer my photos from my phone to my computer.
First the Mac doesn't recognize the s4.
I downloaded Android file transfer and it doesn't recognize my phone either. I've switched back and forth between mtp and ptp and even turn USB debugging off and on.
I can't get my pictures off my phone!!!
I have Dropbox but already maxed out my memory.
How can I get my pictures off my S4?
(I want my iPhone back)

Have you linked up with your S4 to dropbox? When I linked mine up with my S4, I got like 50GB space. I move them by taking the memory card out, putting it in the adapter and then putting the adapter in my computer. Does Apple allow you to put SD cards in their computers?

@mediagirl: I already linked it to drop box. I don't have a external memory card on my s4. So all the pictures are on the phone memory itself.

@locavore_mama: oh. You gotta get one of those so if your phone dies, you still have your photos!!

I upload mine from my phone to shutter fly because my drop box ran out of space too.

Do you have a Google account? Use Google drive. They give you 15gb of space for free.

My suggestion would be google drive, and then get a microSD card. I might have one laying around, I will check tonight and if I do you are welcome to have it! It would have the USB adapter, too.

@locavore_mama: Wow all 15gbs? Geeeeez girl lol!!! I have so much crap on my Drive and I only using 30%!!
If you're maxed out there too, my first suggestion is try plugging it in to another computer/a PC.

Or maybe since you clearly need more space, you should get more space for Google Drive. 100gb is just 5 bucks a month (way better deal than Dropbox).

@pui: HAHA I need to double check. But I've been saving all pictures to an external hard drive and backing up online via Drive and Dropbox!
