My 2 yr old boy is super into play doh and trains. Also 2-3 piece puzzles have been a huge hit lately. He is SO proud when he can get the two pieces together.

I agree with dress up accessories. My 2 year old daughter also loves anything involving coloring - washable crayons and coloring books are always good.

My 2-year-old daughter LOVES her Melissa and Doug toys, like the fruit or veggie slicing sets. She also loves her doctor kit and her tea set. But, a lot of little girls at this age might already have a tea set. Baby dolls are always a hit, too.
