I just found out that a good friend is pregnant. I'm going to see her at a barbecue tomorrow, and she's going to announce the pregnancy then.
I want to take her a little gift but I don't have much time to pick something up though.... any quick ideas for me?

i'm not the most creative gift giver- but could you go get her a book? i know friends the have really liked 'the belly book' and 'the baby bump'. or a bellaband.

If you are strapped for time, what about a gift certificate to a maternity store?
Also, it might seem outdated now, but I do love "Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" as an easy first read

I love the idea of a book... you could write a sweet note at the beginning, wishing her a happy and healthy pregnancy.
