Can you guys give me some gift ideas for girls aged 4 and 7? I always get such lame gifts for these girls because I'm just terrible at figuring out what kids would like.

I'm getting my nieces who are 4 and 6 Goldie Blox, a Taylor Swift calendar, and I'm going to take them to a local paint your own pottery place. They also love my little pet shop and my little pony.

My daughter is 4 - she's really into pretend play stuff. She LOVES her melissa and doug dollhouse and plays with it daily - http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Fold-Mini-Dollhouse/dp/B001P9OGRS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416812136&sr=8-1&keywords=melissa+and+doug+dollhouse - this one's pretty basic, but she brings along her little people and other toys she has around the house and uses the house as a backdrop.
legos, playdoh sets, disney glitter gliders, and stuff like that are big with her right now.
i also don't think you can go wrong with books or experience gifts!

My niece is 4 and I'm thinking a hair chalk kit and something else...she's obsessed with Frozen and her American Girl doll so maybe an outfit. I hate always feeling like I buy them junk they don't need but that's what it ends up being. I may buy her some Piggy Paints polish this year.
@Mrs. High Heels: That's a great idea for my niece!

For the 7yo maybe a cool art supply like a light projector. http://www.amazon.com/Crayola-74-7034-Projector-Light-Designer/dp/B007XPLI4M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1416836789&sr=8-2&keywords=kids+art+projector
For my 5yo niece I'm getting Sketchers Bella Ballerina sneakers which have a little pad on the bottom for twirling. I secretly wish they made these in adult sizes. http://www.amazon.com/Skechers-Kids-82045L-Sparkle-Sneaker/dp/B00DG90U52/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1416836924&sr=8-2&keywords=bella+ballerina+skechers

My 8 year old niece loves nail polish, lip gloss, etc. She always gets tons of toys so this year I made her a basket of shower gels, nail stickers, and all that with a cute cozy robe from The Children's Place.
