Last year I got my mom a Storyworth subscription and it was PERFECT for her. She loves writing and is super nostalgic so that idea knocked it out of the park. Now what, though? Any ideas? She has all the stuff she needs, so I am at a loss...

Every year, I get my mom a new piece for her Willow Tree nativity. She loves it so much that she keeps it up all year.
We are getting my mother in law a stained glass hummingbird sun catcher from etsy.

One of those grandmother's books? There's a lot of different ones.

The very best gift we have given to my mom and my ILs was a digital picture frame. It’s connected to the internet so we can email pictures directly to it from our phones. They love it!
Gift certificate to a local theater or a favorite restaurant? That’s what we do if we donNt have a specific thing in mind. It lets them have a great experience without adding more stuff to their lives.

@meganmp: I got my mom a milk frother to make faux lattes at home and it was a huge hit! About $100 at crate and barrel.

@meganmp: framed family pictures, jewlery, and books are my go-to for my mom. I think the best gift we did was a gift certificate for a cooking class.
I'm really interested in storyworth for my parents! I had never heard of it before. How did the book come out?

Thanks for all of the feedback, all!
@Litebrite: It was seriously the best gift I've ever gotten her. She is a writer and the family historian, so... it was perfect. The subscription isn't up yet so I don't know how the book will turn out, but it was seriously worth it thus far. She's written about... 200 pages worth of memoirs or so? So awesome.

@catgirl: Can I ask what frame you got them? Thinking of getting my parents and in-laws digital frames this year...

@MLE81: We got them the 10 inch Pix Star frames. Overall they have worked really well, a few issues with software updates but customer service was very helpful. But we purchased five years ago so there were fewer options. I know many people who have purchased the Nixplay frames and been very happy as well!

@catgirl: Happy to hear this! We purchased Nixplay frames for both my Mom and MIL for Christmas and DH just set them up yesterday so I can start loading them with pictures. Being able to upload photos remotely was the selling point for us.

@Bluemasonjar: We have bought so many nixplay frames as gifts for family over the years and it's probably the #1 gift that everyone keeps telling us how much they love it.
We finally got one for ourselves this year and I absolutely love having friends and family send me pictures. It's like a little daily surprise!

@meganmp: I want to thank you so much for bringing storyworth to my attention. My mom has been crushing the stories and we are going to have a really valuable keepsake by the end of the year!

@Litebrite: I am so glad! I think it's such a great idea, and for people who like to write, it's an amazing thing for both them and their families.
