So we got our fourth mailed gift today. This time, it's obvious that it's a baby gift - big BuyBuyBaby label on it. (The first three things I opened because I didn't know, or I had permission to open them.) My shower isn't for another 4 weeks. I'm assuming it's from someone who won't be able to come to the shower. Would you open it now or wait?

i would open it...clearly the box does not have a "do not open until..." LOL....

For our wedding I always opened presents as soon as they arrived. I wanted to confirm they werent damaged and to send out a thank you note ASAP. When I send a gift I like to get a thank you note quickly so I know the gift arrived.

When we received gifts for our wedding I’d open them right away! I haven’t gotten any mailed baby shower gifts but if I do I plan on opening them right away as well. DH may not let me though….. He’s trying to build my patience level up before LO arrives haha!

If it comes in the mail I open.. if it's gift wrapped and the sender tells me to wait to open (because she'll be at the party), then I'll wait.

I wouldn't wait! But knowing me I'd already know what it is because I stalk my baby registry:)
