Usually around the 15th I will start putting them out. But this year I am hosting a baby shower on the 20th so I will keep them away until after then to save space

Usually I put them under as they're wrapped. But, M has been so goodon't with the tree and the ornaments I don't want to push it lol. Maybe I'll put a fake present under there to test lol.

I think DS1 (3) would probably be able to wait to open them and would follow directions about it, but I don't want to answer "can I open it now?" for the next two weeks, so I'll probably keep them away until the 22nd or 23rd. DS2 is 5 months, so no worries, there.

Also, we're closing on a new home on the 16th, so everything's just waiting in my Amazon cart until I click purchase that afternoon. I know it probably wouldn't affect the loan to buy gifts, but I'm not taking any chances! So I'm unlikely to get anything wrapped before then (I prioritized gifts that needed to be shipped...I held off on everything else.)

ETA: Growing up, presents piled up for weeks, but each kid had a different color wrapping paper and we didn't know whose was whose until Christmas morning. That was kind of fun. Then stockings and Santa gifts showed up Christmas morning.

Growing up, nothing appeared under the tree until Christmas morning (put out while we slept Christmas Eve). First 2 Christmases we've put presents out as they arrived and were wrapped but this year LO "gets" Christmas so everything is hidden until Christmas Day this year and going forward

We put them under the tree except the ones from Santa. There is a big pile under there since yesterday and so far he hasn't messed with them.

Growing up, presents were added to the tree as they were wrapped, EXCEPT for Santa gifts. Having a toddler (and a baby on the way), we will be waiting until Christmas Eve!

We put them under the tree as soon as they're wrapped - my family has always done it that way. It never occurred to me to do it otherwise, but I like the idea of them not appearing until Christmas morning! I tend to have a pile of presents ready to go for when the tree goes up because blocking off the tree access from the bottom means we're less likely to find cats halfway up the tree.

We put stuff under the tree as it's wrapped or as it gets delivered from family members.

I actually decided to break down what I bought for the girls this way: One present for each girl from her sister, and one for each girl from us. Then the rest is from Santa Claus. They will have so much from our family, they'll still have plenty to unwrap.

Our tree is full of presents for other family members. She hasn't gone near them. Once I wrap DHs gifts, they will be under the tree. He won't put mine out till Christmas Eve. Gifts for LO from Santa/us don't go out till late Christmas Eve.
