The girl name that I've always loved is Evelyn Faye. Faye is my middle name and we'd probably call her Evie for short.

Now that we know baby is a girl though its got me second guessing and out of nowhere I feel really strongly about including some part of my grandma's name in this baby's name. She passed away last November and we were very her close. Grandma's name was Jewell Elizabeth. She went by Judy.

What names go well with Jewell or Elizabeth as a middle name? I'm not a big fan of Judy. I really like names like Evelyn, Eloise, Norah.... Idk. Names that are kind of classic but different?

Big brother's name is Elliot. Help!

What about Judith? Is using her maiden name an option?
I also like Ruth, Clara,, Miriam and Esther.

@Mrs Green Grass: I really like the way that sounds but DH and his whole family call me Elley I thought maybe she could go by Ella but Elley, Elliot and Ella seemed like too much lol. Maybe she could go by Beth?

@sera_87: Oh I didn't even think about Judith! DH and I had decided if the baby was a boy for his middle name to be Jude in honor of her so idk why I didn't think of Judith as a possibility.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: @zippylef: Thats what I was leaning towards right away but do you think the 2 long names together sound like too much? I liked Evelyn Faye because I thought the short after the long (especially since our last name is one syllable) sounded like it went really well.

@grizz: I like that combination too I haven't run Norah by DH yet. Ill see what he thinks!

@Running Elley: I dont think Evelyn Jewell is too long! Jewell is only 2 syllables, so it doesnt feel like a mouth-full to say.

@Running Elley: Basically I love all of your name choices, mostly because my name is Elizabeth (mn Grace) and DD's name is Evelyn (mn Amanda after my sister!) So any combinations of those is awesome IMO

I love Evelyn for a girl! It's such a beautiful name. I would probably go with Evelyn Jewell. They sounds nice together and I love how Elliot and Evelyn go together.

@prettylizy: I love E names! I'm kind of scared that if we go with an E name for this one we'll have to name all of our children E names. DH definitely wants all of our boys to have the same EJ initials (he and all of his brothers have the same initials and he likes it a lot).

I love Evie! In Jewish tradition, it's actually common to use the first letter of the person's name, not the actual name. Not that you're Jewish but if you wanted to borrow that, Evelyn could be considered naming her after "Elizabeth." I also like the Judith suggestion.

@Running Elley: Evelyn Jewell is so cute!!!! That's such a pretty name! Jewell is so nice. I know someone that has a little boy with the same name as E, and their daughter is Olivia. That could be cute - and maybe you stick with the vowel first name and J middle name for all future kids?

@Running Elley: Jude can always be a girl middle name, too. My friend's name is Renata Jude. FWIW, I like the names Evelyn and Faye. You could do Evelyn Jude.
