You Can Do Eeeeeeet!

I love being a girly girl who is able to do handy things like put together furniture. Although I usually assist DH with our Ikea purchases--amazingly, he can interpret those instructions almost like he wrote them--before we were married, I put together my own Ikea furniture

@TurtleDoves: it is because the person who writes those Ikea instructions likes to see everyone suffer! They are pretty bad!

definitely. i lived on my own for long enough and had no one to depend on...even nightmare ikea furniture i would put together. it is nice though now just getting DH to do it. I had to correct him the other day when he was putting a bookshelf together for me. mama knows best.

I lived on my own for awhile, I put together and bookshelf and piano stand while I was single. Before LO was born I put together his cosleeper which was a challenge but fun

I do all of the furniture assembly. Ikea's instructions are very long and detailed but I can do it. I don't know if you would call me a girly girl. I don't dress like it but I think I act like a girly girl more than a tom boy, though. I can be very independent so if I don't have a man around, I'll do it myself! Hmm, now I do sound like a tom boy. Hmmm... I don't know what I am. lol

Looks good! I am the one who puts together all the DIY furniture in our home. I enjoy it for some reason.

@TurtleDoves: Nice Job!!! Now you can get more baby stuff with the money you saved putting the dresser together yourself!

@bluestriped bee: Aw man DH will never hire someone to come to our house again, he's super handy. But that means I have to watch him climb on our roof and get covered in tar while I freak out about him falling. It isn't all sunshine and roses during DIY!
