So, this is a bit of a novel, sorry!

DH and I lost our last baby at 20 weeks - we had oligohydramnios and were told that the baby wasn't viable so we had to choose to try to carry to term (with a 90% chance of him dying in utero) or terminate the pregnancy. We chose to terminate (hardest decision of my life!) and I had to give birth to our son at 20 weeks.

I was induced and sent home, and we went back in to the hospital the next day. I'm not sure how much I dilated (or had to dilate?) but they gave me an epidural after about 24 hours of contractions on and off. I had to push a few times and then he was out. They gave me pethidine quite early on and also I think I was trying not to concentrate on what we were doing so a lot of the day is a bit hazy and I don't remember tooo much about how it felt (physically).

Anyway! We are pregnant again (due in Nov) and after all that, I wanted to ask, had anyone given birth after having had to give birth to a baby that wasn't going to survive? I suppose I'm a *bit* nervous about what this experience will be like...
