I'm curious about this, too! Even though, due to the nature of my loss at 39 weeks, I'll probably be having a scheduled c-section this time. But, this is an interesting question and I'm curious to know, too!

@bunnymommy: we lost our first baby at 20 weeks when we went in for our anatomy scan and didn't have a heartbeat. We had to induce that night and have cervadil. They placed it on my cervix to ripen it. I only had Demerol as my pain med. They could have given me an epidural, but I originally started with half a dose of Demerol and when I could get more meds, I got a full dose and that was enough. I was in the hospital for 24 hours, but my induction to delivery took just under 11 hours. My water broke on its own and I pushed two or three times.

Right now we are 35 weeks with another little girl and she is breech and has been this way for a while. She flipped head down once but flipped head up about two days later. She has been this way for about 3 weeks and dr doesn't really think she will turn. I'm most likely looking at a c section, which quite honestly, I would welcome because I do have some negative memories still associated with my first birth experience. I will tell you that my mom lost one of my siblings at full term--delivered him and he didn't survive surgery that he had to have. She went on to deliver one of my sisters with no problems. She didn't have any bad memories and everything was perfect. One thing my mom told me is that she thinks my labor could be faster with this one because my body responded so well last time.

@bunnymommy: I have a totally different prenatal experience, cause I was going to a midwife at a birth center for all my prenatal appointments, and transferred to the hospital during labor. This time around, I'm starting out with the OBs that go to that hospital, so, so far, the whole experience has been pretty different, but I feel more secure this time around, so its been a good new experience.

@bunnymommy: my ob saw me every two weeks until I was past 22 weeks, then he saw me monthly until 30 weeks. My bp would waver from being high to low, so he has seen me weekly since 30 weeks. It's been a little different because he knows I freak out. It has been nice having the same dr because he was right there with us and is doing everything he can to get this baby here safely.

@bunnymommy: we were supposed to go to the hospital for our 20 week anatomy scan and I refused. I told him I could go later,but I wasn't walking into the same place at the same time as last time. He went along with it and that's why we went in at 22 weeks. DH was able to be with me too so that was great. It ended up being the same tech as last time, so I was really happy to be with DH and not by myself.

@Jennimac: @bunnymommy: hugs to both of you! I'm very excited that you both are past the horrible points in your first pregnancies. Only great things, now!
