So CJ is seven weeks old tomorrow, and she's mostly sleeping pretty well in my opinion. She generally goes down around 11 pm each night and wakes up once or twice before 7 am (usually around 3 and 6ish, but sometimes she'll sleep until 4 and then wake up again at 7). She then sleeps off and on until around 10:30 or 11 am. She is awake for longer stretches in the afternoon, usually, with no effect on her mood - she just seems to like being awake during that part of the day.
I am finding that getting her to go to sleep at night without nursing her to sleep is simply not happening, except after her middle of the night feedings (if she wakes up when I put her back down she will generally manage to get herself to sleep). I'm sitting here right now at 20 after 11 with a wide awake baby in my lap, and I just fed her 15 minutes ago, so I am not sure how I'm going to get her to sleep unless she gets hungry again before midnight.
Am I worrying about this too early on? Should I still just be going with the flow? Or should I be trying for a "bedtime" and some sort of schedule?
