Hellobee Boards

At my wedding, my sister and her husband traded on and off watching my nephew once he went to bed. But they were staying overnight at our reception site, so it wasn't a big deal for them to walk back and forth.

Since it's your sister, your hubs would probably be the best bet for putting LO to bed...is your hotel nearby? or is there a quiet room at the venue where LO can sleep in a carseat/portable playpen?

@artbee: you could hire a babysitter to push her around once she's asleep so that she's away from the noise?

@artbee: DH and I use the car for movement. She just laughs at us when we try to get her in a stroller. Daycare was able to get her sleep in a stroller for a while but now that doesn't work either! It sounds like the stroller would be your best bet and people can take turns pushing it around.

Let's hope she is as excited as you and stays up past her bedtime! Usually 1 night won't throw them off too much and she'll just sleep more the next day! Lucky her that she gets to be the flower girl!

@artbee: Yeah, I think it's people without kids who have friends without kids. Time of day isn't important.

I don't even know if the wedding is at a hotel or what they really mean by childcare is arranged. We'll have to recruit my MIL to spend the night I guess.

Is the wedding at a hotel ballroom? My friend asked the hotel manager to bring a portable crib after dinner was served and one of her bridesmaids used it for her LO. That might be an option-- or bring your own portable pack and play?

@artbee: AHH Good luck... maybe LO will have too much fun at the wedding or will be able to sleep through anything!
