We're booking our NB shoot for early April and I'm curious what questions you asked your photographer. I was terrible at asking questions of our wedding photographer and was a bit disappointed in our experience with her.
So far all I can think to ask her about it props (how much she provides vs. us), outfits/hats, and how sleepy she prefers LO.

If there's a comfy place for you to be, if it's in the studio. Because if she's doing the sleepy baby thing, you should relax and take a nap or something

How many newborn shoots have they done? How much time do they allot for the appt?
The NB session took 4 hours for us between constant feedings, diaper changes, during the naked photos he peed/poo'ed on the props/blankets/me, positioning and trying to get him to sleep. It was way more involved than I ever imagined and having someone who was incredibly patient made the experience much easier.

What temp the room should be where you are doing the photos. Naked pics will be easier if the room is SUPER warm. You guys should be sweating!

If you are going to her I would check out her studio - ours had a kitchen and bathroom and sitting area in addition to the photog area.
Ask to see her work - and inquire about any shots you may want to duplicate

@Mamaof2: Duplicating shots is a good one! She has some SUPER cute shots in her portfolio. It will be at our house which, sadly, doesn't have the best natural light but we'll make it work hopefully! As the time gets closer I think I'll start keeping an eye on when the natural light is best in her room.
@citymouse: Good idea about keeping the room super warm, I would have totally forgotten that!

@citymouse: agree - ours also used heating pads under the blankets!
On a funny side note our photog used disposable nursing pads to cover the bum in case of poo (when doing naked shots) - they fit perfectly!
