My toddler suddenly hates the car...help! Her books and the baby's toys are no longer cutting it in the car.

My LO just turned 12 months, but the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes has been a life saver for car rides!

Ditto the Take Along Tunes! We keep ours in the car and never take it out. Straws, an empty water bottle, her play phone, and old camera, and little raisin boxes also work for us. When all else fails, iPad to the rescue.

Back when DD needed toys in the car I took the tag along tunes and her Leap Frog leaptop!

Tablet is the best toy lol. We like the mini magnetic drawing boards. We also get the Under 3 toys from McDonalds when we get there. Those stay in the car.

Our toddler suddenly hates the car as well. Random objects no longer work. We have an old ipod touch that we loaded with games. That keeps her occupied for awhile and then throws it across the car screaming. I am not sure what people used to do! DH figures they used to just let them roam free in the car.

@autumnlove: We actually have 2 . . . I misplaced our first one, so when we bought the second one, we got a third too . . . The second stays in the diaper bag, and the third stays in the car. A little extreme? Perhaps. But it can be life/death during even a short car trip!

A manget drawing board and a small bead maze are in my car at all times!
